Hello m8s.

i was wondering about the 'dedicated server' software for IL2. i am the Air_Marshal at the Tides of War www.tidesofwar.net (http://www.tidesofwar.net) & we were considering hosting an IL2 server there.

any suggestions as to who i need to contact would be greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance.

The "dedicated server" software for the most recent iteration of IL2 (AEP) has not been released yet. It is reported that it will be released "shortly" after the latest pending patch...which will be released...when it's ready.

For how many people are you planning to host MOJO?

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I'm not sure of how many people we would entertain hosting. i would think in the neighborhood of 100 or more.

thanks for the info.

wow, just FYI AEP supports up to 32...and even then you need pretty powerfull machine to run it... and good connection. For 32 at least 1MB upsteam...

100 players may be an exageration, but within time 60-80 wouldn't surprise me. we have all the server we need(hopefully). bandwidth shouldn't a problem either.

32 is a good start for sure. if you know more about the specs, req's, etc of operating an IL2 server, or where i might find the info please give me an email m8.
