I love it. But it is really difficult to taxi. It bounces up and down and nosedives with harly any gas.... It had a very stable landing gear and should be much easier to taxi than a messerschmitt. The bf-109 don't even bounce....Will this be corrected?

thank you so much. Love the sim.

...but its impossible to taxi... I hardly give it gas and it wants to noze dive into the ground..even on concrete runways it bounces like crazy. The bf-109 taxis like a dream....

My favorite aircraft. I read Samurai! by Saburo Sakai at least 5 times. The plane was the embodiment of the Japanese warrior psyche: light, deadly, but delicate. I think Olegs team did a great job on it. Although its ground handling characteristics are lousy and hopefully will be rectified in the final patch.

When the A6M2 zero 21 comes out, I hope that its a little more delicate than the 52. The 52 can take alot of damage now.

Yeah, the Zero is a very good aircraft, also an awesome enemy to shot down.

I LOVE the Zero myself /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I think it was historically poor in taxiing...so well done there! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

its a delight to shoot P-40 in the A6m5!!! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, Zero is very nice! It is also a very light aircraft which would account for it's somewhat bouncy ground performance./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

When you are taxiing fast in Zero and see yourself start to nose over, goto 100% throttle and pull full back on the stick for full up elevator. This blows the tail back down on the ground. Not kidding this works amazingly well. Especially useful when you land in the fields....but here just don't shut your engine off cos Zero is one of several that cannot start engines off the official FB airfields.

What also works is taxing with full up elevator, this holds the tail firmly on the ground. This is what the real guys do.

Yep, thats it I think.

And yes the Zero is excellent! 16 vs 16 furballs against 1942 P-40s are great fun /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - Gunther Rall

Yes, what the other dude/dudette said, taxi around with your stick pulled back.

P~51 is alot more stable on rough ground, not as good as IL~2, nothing is.
