I contacted Kung Fu Factory and sent them some ideas on how an offline Spartacus disc game could be like. It's generally a rough draft but, I figure you fine fans of the game may be able to help hash it out.

I'm a big fan of your Spartacus Legends game. However there are things I feel can be improved upon. You have many players who would jump at the opportunity to own an offline Spartacus game with online potential. In this e-mail I will outline how a disc version of Spartacus can play out. The main differences between this game idea and Spartacus Legends, aside from it being primarily offline, are:

*No Perks - Stats are increased by leveling and various equipment. However, a skill tree for each fighting style may be a good idea as it will let a player customize their character to a greater degree.

*Unarmed Fighters have their own class and 'Weapons' - Lets players build an unarmed class as opposed to just using one.

*Gladiators can only equip weapons and armor of their rank or lower. (ie, White Gladiators can only Equip white weapons and armor, Green Gladiators can equip either white or green weapons and armor. ect..)

*Fighting Styles level independently from each other in addition to your ludas leveling. - Ludas levels allow purchase of Armors, Stronger Slaves and unlocks Arenas and banners/banner items. Fighter levels allow purchase of Weapons, unlocks combos, unlocks gladiator titles and(if added) points to put into the skill tree for that style.

*Defense is a base stat that affects damage resistance and block efficiency.

*Stamina - Will replace the Defense bar on the fight screen. Attacking, Running and Rolling all affect Stamina. As the bar depletes, all named actions become slower. Will regenerate over time and can be boosted by weapons/armor, fighting style level and(if added) skill tree addition.

*Gold is earned in primus fights.

Instead of buying predesigned slaves at the market, one can personally customize slaves at the marketplace. The skin tone, hair style and facial hair can be altered as well as name. Different ranks of slaves may be purchased, each rank has different stats because they're in different levels of training. We will use the same ranking system as in Spartacus Legends; White, Green, Blue, Purple and Gold. White named gladiators are the least initially skilled, with the lowest stats such as Health, Defense, Damage, Stamina and Speed. As you advance in the game, you may start purchasing higher rank Gladiators with greater base stats. However, this is not necessary unless your Gladiator dies because all Gladiators, through training and experience, can increase their initial stats and change their color rank. With enough time and effort a base white Gladiator can become a legend Gold Gladiator. Stat definitions are as follows:

Health - The amount of damage you can take. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Defense - The amount of damage you can block/resist. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Damage - The amount of damage you can deal. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Stamina - Attack energy; when full you have normal attack speed but when drained your attack speed slows. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Speed - Movement speed of your gladiator. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Attack Speed - Attack speed of your gladiator. Can be altered by Equipment and level of Gladiator.

Once a slave is bought and after the customization process you may select the weapon style. You may choose between Unarmed, Sword and Shield, Duel Swords, Two Handed Sword, Duel Daggers, Spear and Shield, Two handed Hammer and a Two handed Trident. Each fighting style has its own particular advantages and disadvantages. I will use a 1-5 scale to put stats into a more reasonable perspective. 1 being the lowest and 5 the Highest.
-Unarmed style will have the greatest speed(5) and lowest damage(1) while being a close range style with little natural defense(1) and high stamina(5)

-Duel Daggers have slightly lower speed(4) and slightly more damage(2) than the unarmed style while still being a close range style with low natural defense(2) and great stamina(4).

-Sword and Shield style will have medium speed(3) and damage(3) being a close to midrange style with high natural defense(5) and good stamina(3).

-Duel Swords will have slightly higher speed(4) but deal slightly less damage(2) than the Sword and Shield class and have little more than medium natural defense(4) while being a close to midrange style with okay stamina(2)

-Two Handed Swords will have slightly less than medium speed(2) and slightly more than medium damage(4) while having a medium natural defense(3) while being a mid to long range style with okay stamina(2).

-Spear and Shield class will have slightly less than medium damage(2) and slightly more than medium speed(4) with a high natural defense(5) while being a mid to long range weapon with good stamina(3)

-Two Handed Trident will have medium speed(3) and medium damage(3) with okay natural defense(2) while being a mid to long range weapon with great stamina(4)

-Two Handed Hammer will have the least amount of speed(1) but the highest damage(5) with a slightly less than medium natural defense(2) while being an all range weapon with low stamina(1)

All stats will be able to be altered depending on gladiator level and weapon/armor equipped.

Since Unarmed is it's own unique style in my vision, it should have it's own group of 'fist' weapons. Such as Leather Wraps(White), Brass Knuckles(Green), Iron Spikes(Blue), Chainmail Gloves with Knuckles or Spikes(Purple) and Steel Gloves with Knuckles or Spikes(Gold).

You'll be able to train your Gladiator at your Ludas to increase its stats and unlock new combos to further your effectiveness in the various Arenas. Once you learn a particular combo for a fighting style, it will be availible to all Gladiators of that style. However, it is only in Arena fights where you will be able to earn gold and silver to purchase new weapons, armor and slaves.
Weapons and Armor will have the same levels as the Gladiators and are not mutually exclusive to a Gladiator. However, Gladiators can only equip weapons and armor of their level or lower. (ie, White Gladiators can only Equip white weapons and armor, Green Gladiators can equip either white or green weapons and armor. ect..)

Each Region will still have different fame and silver payouts for regular Arena matches where Primus fights will pay out fame and gold. Regular Arena matches will not end in death but a Primus fight always ends in death.

Any additions, changes or details yall would like to add. I think it may really help if we approach them with a completely formed idea.
