Gotta love those ultra high AOA manouvers. Does LOMAC do Archers accurately? They're supposed to be connected to the pilot's visor so that targets that aren't directly in front of the plane can be locked and fired on.

Yes the Migs and SUs in LOMAC have the Helmet Mounted Sight, so you can fire archers, and other missiles outside of the hud. It gives a real advantage to the russkis, and that R73 archer is deadly!

no that's a custom skin maxim26.

if you know what a cobra manuver is...well he uses it a few times in this vid to point the plane far enough to fire on the enemy. cool stuff http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

he had a 3.2 processor, 2gigmemory, and a 9800pro I think...I don't really remember...but it was uber.

I can run lomac with enjoyment with a 2ghz comp, 1gig of ram, and geforce 4 4400. it just can't handle the overcast. also a patch for lomac is about to come out in the next week or so...huge list of fixes and some added stuff. can't wait http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I highly recommend giving Lomac a try if anything to support the undustry. I know some seem to think Jet sims have either too much of a learning curve or they actually see them as too easy with the use of missles, etc but I assure you it is challenging. The 1.02 patch is soon to be released and it will change the sim in many ways (all good of course). If your looking for something to do until BOB or PF gets here, give LockOn a try. It's a fun sim.

btw- yes I am biased of course, but I am as diehard about Prop sims as I am Jet sims so I spread my bias equally.lol http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yeah, what he said http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif

Actually, when making a movie the system specs arent all that important. When you record you can slow the game down and increase the number of fps in the end product. One of the best moviemakers Glowing_Amram has a c*ap system but his movies are still smooth as silk.

mig29 owns in lomac becuase of the f15 not having its correct avionics and long distance before sight systems. Of course the mig29 will be superior in a close range fight.

5 aircraft is not enough to make a sim enjoyable which is why i returned my lomac

even with multiple versions of the mig29 and su27 thats not different aircraft.

Did they ever add the hornet and f16 with the patch snacky?

LeadSpitter_ it's quality over quantity. also all the fighters are about even. it's a shame that you returned your lomac mainly because of the lack of flyables....

I didnt see much quality at all in lomac especially in the fms look at alot of the ai too black windows like in falcon 3.0

Im sorry but the game didnt interest me, didnt like it at all and found it very easy of a couple hours of learning all the aircrafts controls.

Yes the graphics were amazing but graphics are not everything to me anyways.

Lack of aircraft and lack of players online is why i choose to return my lomac, when the patch is out i may buy it again of ebay for 5 bucks but will still like fb/aep much better and im looking forward to PF and BOB.

LOMAC is much more challenging then you think.
I can down any IL2 AI ace and it is almots imposible in Lomac, especially with icons off.

Modern air warfair is different but not easier and in many aspects more difficult then WWII erra. And Lomac represents it very acurate.

What maxim said Lead. It's far, far more involved than that. You just haven't immersed yourself enough.

I know. I was the same way.

And BTW, the MiG29A is good, but not even close to œber. The S is much better, but even that, even with the problems with the F-15 RADAR and undermodeled AMRAAMs, was far from a guarenteed Eagle killer.

The F-15, even with it's problems is more than capable against all opposition. Just gotta know how to use it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I find that in LOMAC you can cruise along without worrying about the controls too much, but when you enter combat, you're overloaded with tasks. In FB, you need to get the actual flying down correctly first, and I feel, atleast in online, you don't get as overloaded with tasks as in LOMAC, which I think is the main differance between modern combat and the WW2 era stuff.

Well, I watched it. And again... Then another time...

I've watched it five times now, and have shown it to a friend, who has watched it twice.

It makes me want to play the freaking thing, in spite of all the bugs and impossible views and key configuration and stuff.

It's too bad I can't, I think.

ok this movie was very impressive and its the main reason i put it back on my HD since i bought lomac the day it was released but i didnt liked it at all and threw it in a dusty corner......

playing it for a few days now used Loman to install some addons and stuff and im impressed how smooth it plays now (duh got a high end rig now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif )
the graphics are incredible the game play is good but not as good as FB but can go along with that.

5 planes are more then enough for now to figure them all out and get used to them
i must say lomac can be pretty damn hard when playing full difficult without icons and stuff

i have to say that lomac is still somewhat buggy in the sound engine ,stick input and controls
but if the new patch fixes all those problems
im sure LOMAC will stay on my HD for a long time... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

if some of you guys have lomac some where and hate it like i did when it first came out pls give it a try and im sure you wont find it half as bad as me when it came out

PS try LoMan its an awesome program wich allows you to tweak the game to your satisfaction and it makes it so easy to let the game run smooth and install skins,Mods and addons

Whatever you think of Lomac, that is one impressively put together movie http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - Günther Rall

Yes, and actually I think that's kinda par for the course.

On the whole it seems that the LOMAC movies are better than the FB movies.

The FB movies (at least the ones I've seen) tend to try to be too "big" and dramatic. Some of them are very good in that, others, not so - it's hard to do well. But it also gets old too.

Many, if not most of the LOMAC movies (again, the ones I've seen) are more like this one - fun, fast paced, adrenaline jobs.
