I read that they flew on the Eastern front, even in not big numbers. But those 15mms should really bite sharply.. I hope it will be incorporated into the add-on together with other Bf109s weapon loadout changes /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

15mm gunpods were never made...It was the 20mm MG-151/20 gunpod, and only for the F-4.

And even if they did, the lethality bonus of those twin "welt creaters" wouldn't be worth the weight and aerodynamic penalty. The 15mm slugs were NOT explosive, thus technically not cannon at all: more like heavy MG.

Hi Stiglr.

Actually, the 15mm projectil were HET (high explosive/tracer), just like the 13mm projectil of the MG131 (HET too)

Yeah! I want them with ER-4 for beginning of war to carry 96 "devil eggs" SD-2. I saw other source that it can make 16 bombing runs. Also add gunpods can be great in ground attacking! Bf-109F-4/B do exist at Russian front used by RHAF as I would like see it add.

Only a few F-4s were fitted with MG151/15 gunpods - aircraft I./JG52 were fitted out with these on a trial basis only.

I'd settle for the droptank personally... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Bump for the BF-109 F4/R1 with MG-151/20 wing-pods. Have a picture here in one of my books of this field modification posed in front of a British Short Stirling Bomber it shot down.

A droptank would be swell too. :P
