Just wondering if all the Assassin's Creed games will ever be released for the Xbox One. I had the PS3 before with all the games.

I hope so. They did make AC4 for next gen, so it would be awesome to see the older games in next gen graphics :)

Let's wait one more gen before a graphical update... The gap between current gens consoles are a joke.

I'm hoping for a collection in 2017 because of it being the 10th AC anniversary

Funny how there'd probably be more than 10 games by then

You must be joking? If you can't see the difference between a ps3 and ps4 or xbox360 and xbone, I suggest you get some glasses!!

Don't know about the X1, but PS4 will have emulation in the near future which will allow PS3 titles to be playable via streaming (provided you have a connection of course), but you'll have to purchase those games again.

Would you like to have the new control scheme though with things like parkour down, or the original? I saw a discussion like this somewhere else and someone said they should keep the old control scheme because it was supposed to simulate the older animus tech. I personally would like the new version because when I play the older games I feel really limited.

Actually, I do use glasses, and I own all four of those consoles. The fact of the matter is, there's about a 10-20% difference. I mean, what the hell is 900p? And we're still at 30fps? It's like buying a new graphics card only to go from normal to high settings, except you also have to buy all of your old games again to play with the 10-20% performance boost.

It's too soon the judge the graphical capabilities of the consoles due to the fact that they don't reach their full potential in only a year or two

inFamous was wonderful with the all the particles and stuff happening on screen, W_Ds wasn't so different but I didn't pay much attention. Honestly I wouldn't mind playing ACIII on PS4 since it's probably the easiest game to port.

They have already reached their maximum capabilities. That said, I could see a 1080p, 60fps port for the Ezio Trilogy, and quite possibly AC:1. AC:3 however, will probably be bundled with Liberation at 1080p, 30fps instead.

They have already reached their maximum capabilities? I don't think you understand how the process of optimization and learning how to get the best out of your hardware works.

Resolution and framerate are just numbers, they don't really matter all that much in the long run as long as the FPS is at least 30 fps. It's the graphical effects that truly matter and are what will improve.

Now that I think about it, would we be able to download digital copies of PS3 games and play them on the PS4? I couldn't have sworn they were working on something like that.

@Humble, that's PS Now. Basically you can rent games for like 90 days max.

no, the PS3 hardware architecture is radically different. The architecture of a PS4 is more like a PC, this is to make it so that porting the game over from PC to PS4 or vice versa is easier to do and that the game will actually work well.

Oh... ugh... so I can't keep the games that I want to play on PS4 from PS3? FAIL!!

Gaming companies need to hurry up then and start porting games to the next gen. I don't wanna buy the PS4 just to play Unity, you know lol

Yeah :nonchalance: better hold on to your PS3 for old games I guess.

Well, the thing is I'm on an xBox 360 and wanted to get a PS3, but thats when they announced the PS4 and decided I should wait. But now that they might take forever to get to next gen, this is a difficult decision for me now.

Wait longer or get a PS3 now lol

I kinda wanna replay ACIII, but I know that my PC will run it like crap and my PS3 is not around, so yeah they'd better port it *wishful thinking*

I think we should wait another gen jump.

Retrocompatibility stopped when they realized they could sell you the game again almost at full price.
