I wanted to know this because in previous AC games you could climb really big buildings like Castel Saint-Angelo. So far we've only seen one small castle and a few buildings.

I thought this was a joke thread for a second.

I would assume so.

Though I'm not knowledgable of the full structure of Paris during the French Revolution.

Google tells me Bastille was 100 feet high. I guess so.

if you think that the Notre Dame is only one small castle....

ACII's Duomo is 136 ft, Notre Dame is 226 feet (source: wikipedia), that should tell you about climable landmarks I guess, although Unity has different scale - 1:1, if I remember correctly.

Yeah I put this in one of my other posts today. I really miss the cool platforming of the Romulus Lairs and climbing the chandeliers of castles and stuff in the Ezio games. Hopefully it'll come back now that we have a game focused on one city instead of some small start up ones like Kingston.

*sigh* All that wasted potential. Remember the good old days when we could throw guards off roofs? And now that we finally have 1:1 scale buildings we can't even toss someone to their end. Oh well, hopefully they'll still let us throw bombs from up there like in ACR. :)

What makes you think we won't be able to do that?

Also on topic, from the demo I saw that the houses were larger than most houses from the earlier games, so yes, we will be able to climb large buildings in this game.

Maybe they will let us throw off a few people (not talking about watching it happen in a cutscene like the co-op demo). But I just assumed that since there won't be anymore rooftop guards, we might not be able to do it whenever we want. Could be wrong. Maybe the guards can chase us onto the rooftops and then we can knock them off.

there will probably still be rooftop guards, they just won't be on actual rooftops, but they will rather be on balconies and such.

Like real guards.

You mean this?

If you do, I wouldn't worry. That's one huge *** "castle" and we will also be able to explore the interior of every landmark, which sounds like a great adition. Also, the city is built on a 1:1 scale for the first time in the franchise, so I would expect huge buildings, yeah. :o Here's a picture someone took a few weeks ago, it may give you an example of what's to come:

I'm not him, but since there will be no guards on rooftops, I guess throwing people off roofs will be kind of rare... unless you make them follow you, but I guess it won't be that easy if you want them to get on top of the larger buildings.

I can't believe people are actually doubting the enormous architect scales in Paris.

Like real guards. That's not really what they mean.

There'll be rooftop guards in some instances I'd say but they wont just move 3 feet to a balcony as they'd still be rooftop guards.

Will there be hooded figures assassinating Templars in Unity?

Brute being Connor I take it?

You missed revenge-seeking playboy.

No by brute I meant Edward, Connor was the pirate.

I wouldn't call Connor a playboy either, he's a virgin. In AC3 at least, probably in his not in the works sequel too.

Got a chuckle out of the last sentence.
