I've tried to start/stop the engines of the Me110 unsuccessfully. There are a number of engine controls in the Control set-up, but I haven't been able to select anything that will allow me to start-up the engines nor shut them down. Any suggestions?

Bind controls to select right engines, select left engines, and select all engines. Start the right engine, then the left engine, then select all engines. That should do the trick.

I have select all engines bound to Shift+A, Select left engine bound to Shift+L, and select right engine bound to Shift+R. Works fine for me.

You need to start one engine at a time...

To do this in a multi-engine plane you need to assign keys for the controls in-game under Controls http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif right-click to the right of the engine commands... then press key for that command.

I have "Select All", "Select None", "Toggle Left", "Toggle Right" engines mapped on a stick. Besides that I use Alt-1 upto and including Alt-6 as "toggle engine #"

For starting the 110 I would do a
<Alt-1> <I> <Alt-1> <Alt-2> <I> <Alt-2>
That would start engine 2 first then engine 1 leaving with both engines selected - you could map this sequence to a button too if you have a stick that can handle it...

P-38, Ju-87, He-111 and Me-110 all have featherable props.

I've got a related question: Is there a way to get an engine to no longer respond to the "All Engines" button? Short of shutting it off?

No "All Engines" over-rules it...

easy, this is what I've done (I fly bombers ie. H111 and BF110 for my clan ZG26):
bind the following:
Keyboard 1 - engine 1
Keyboard 2 - engine 2
Keyboard 3 - engine 3
Keyboard 4 - engine 4
Keyboard 5 - ALL engines
Keyboard 6 - ALL left engines (esp for TB3)
Keyboard 7 - ALL right engines (esp for TB3)

taxi using 6 and 7 in coordination with brakes and rudder.

bind keys for feather and extinguisher.

piece of GOOD advice: GET SOME ESCORT!!
