Looking for squads interested in ground pounding as well as dogfighting to join in the first online war in dogfight format. This means respawning after deaths ...bombing for points...and protecting targets much like the Redbaron 3D Format in days of old http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.If this sounds like something your interested in check out the site...ask questions on the forum...And signup...first 12 teams are in. this war depends alot on the integrity and honor of the squads and there willingness to play by the rules...check it out ...think it will be a blast...SULLY

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

It was RBWL Oddball. I remember fighting the Jasta guys a few times, Great fun!

These guys have done a lot of work on this. They really need a German squad to get in there and try it.

Sully, I will be getting PF involved in this. Hang in there man.

If you go into IE's Tools/Internet Options and change your Security to Low then register.
After you register reset your security back to where it was before.

A little insite to some of the rules.....We want there to be planning on each squads part each week to figure out what they think the other squad will do what they will do and how best to utilize there plane choices and pilots for bombing, defence and or attack. ..That being said...unfortunately Fb dosent allow base choices to be hidden in dogfight mode ...so each squad knows exactly where the other is flying from...wont take much efort or searching to either cap there home base or find the flight path there bombers are on....By starting a match with one pilot assigned to each base as his home base the other side has no idea at the start of the match where the enemy is going, where they may form up,What there targets might be or what bases to head to to try to cap Because each base started with one.

Now after the match starts a pilot can switch his base to any other by flying there and landing safely then hitting refly ...So in this way you could meet up or move to a foward section of the map land and start respawning from there....The only catch is if you are killed...bail...or crashland you must then start again at your original home base....What this does is it keeps pilots moving around the map and bases....it helps prevent being capped at a base because even though a base may show at any givin time to have 5 or 6 planes there you can't be sure there coming back because they were killed or crashed or whatever...or they may be bombers who plan to take out targets in one area then land to get the points in a different area and take off for more targets in there new area....starting to see the possibilities?

"And why limit the number of players for each side to only ten?"

The reason we limited it to ten a side is because one squad or the other will host a match each week that means someone on your squad will have to have a machine and connection fast enough to hold 20 players with no lag....The good thing about this is that lets say squad 1 is playing squad 8 this week.. They co's or xo or whatever from each squad send an email to each other to decide who would host and what would be the best time to hookup for both there squads for the match..this way they can fly the match at whatever time is convinent to both sides and enables them to get a match started at a time most of there squad can be there...

The site explains alot more about hosting...
oh and the setting are going to be voted on by the squads who joinup.....hope this helps
