iv seen a lot of footage of v1 being tracked and jap a/c being tracked by AAA. the warhead was exploding very close to the a/c as it went at apprx 80-90 deg angle of deflection ..i know we had (us/uk) had proximity fuses that worked off a simple radio wave, but on a flying a/c how was the fuse set so that it could figure out the target range and explode when it was not going to hit the a/c ? what im saying is if the round has nothing to reflect off off how does it now when to detonate) ( time fuses are not included here as ther is no way that a 40mm bofors can have its ammo corected by hand fast enough to get this right... any thoughts?

Interesting article.

Would it not have been better to post a reply ****ging the guy off for being a noob and then launching into an arguement about the turn rate of the 109E

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
