Here are some information on the new patch that is going to be release in October.

I personally interviewed the developers at UBI and Maddox, and received a permission to release this information to all die-hard IL-2 players.

(PS: I shall not take any responsibility in any damage, including heart-attck, nausia, vomitting, or anal retentivity for all those Bf 109 lovers).

1. La-7
In IL-2FB Version 1.2, all La-7 wil go through a major changes. Here are list of changes.

La-7 will:
1) receive J-79 turbojet, with a afterburner thrust of 20,000 + lb!
2) Be equipped with Aim-9 and Atoll heat seeking missile
3) AGM 64 multi-phase function radar (Aim-54 optional).
4) Full set of 30mm Russian Schrauzer cannon.
5) Ejection seat

2. Bf 109...
For Bf 109, FM will be modified to reflect much more realistic flight condition in the eyes of the Russian public. Thus, all Bf 109s will be

1) equiped with 1989 Yugo engines.
2) 300 round capacity BB guns
3) all rudder movement will be substituted by a "tickle me Elmo" stop signs poping out of the side of the plane.
4) All 109 pilots will resemble Homer Simpson. Oh, and the parachutes will be removed.
5) and last but not least, bright-hot pink color scheme will be added (highly recommended by Maddox staff).

3. Fw 190
Fw 190 shall be modified to be much more realistic than the previous version. Of course, in the view of the heroic Russian publics~~

1) engine will be replaced with 1984 Hyundai Pony engine made be Mitsubish Corp.
2) All of its guns will be firing backward direction, since that is where they are most useful.
3) Easy bail-out system will be in use. Just press "E", and your pilot will be out of the burning plane.
4) JABO fighters will now auto release its ordanance while take-off.

Well, that I hope will give your some insights to what is coming ahead. More to be posted.

Have a nice flight~

Well, the truth is as following:

Yes, Maddox is working on the new patch, which would be named 1.2.

And I've heard from people who work at PC Games that the FM will be again changed.

But to what degree the change will incorporate into FM is a guess work. But there is change in FM for sure.

I am not quite sure about the release date though. I've read some thread which suggests may be in Mid-October or November.

Hope it will be a good patch.

(Crossing my fingers).

Woohoo! We are moving up in the world. I don't think our 109s can carry 300 bbs at the moment.

Good stuff.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

"Of all my accomplishments I may have achieved during the war, I am proudest of the fact that I never lost a wingman. It was my view that no kill was worth the life of a wingman. . . . Pilots in my unit who lost wingmen on this basis were prohibited from leading a [section]. They were made to fly as wingman, instead."

It won't matter because then we will have so many patch variations that we can mix and match to produce our own version of our perverse unrealities.

Happy hunting and check six!
