Ive noticed that you can steer with just the rudder in patched FB. In IL2 you needed to apply brakes and rudder to steer on the ground. True?

Not true. Rudder alone worked fine, although you needed a bit of throttle and/or airspeed to get airflow over the rudder.

Cheers,
Fred

No sig as of now, as people apparently can't handle reality without creating too much trouble for the poor mods.

True. Could always turn with rudder alone (with enough airflow) but using brakes aswell helped tighten the turn. In fact, just like a real a/c!!

When applying brakes sitting still on the tarmac, the La-series always nose-standed when bringing throttle up. Now it stays put all the way through 110% throttle. I also like how the ground is not so "bumpy" so as to cause accidents.
