Dear Oleg Maddox.

With AEP a lot of new and stunning models where introduced to to world of Il2, for example the Go229. As nice as this is, some detail seems to be messed up with it, as it seem to be in the Me262: the artificial horizon.

Unlike other aircraft with artificial horizons in Il2, the intrument cannot really be read in this two aircraft, for the "bar" indicating the ACs position is distorted. (has 2 kinks in it)

I can only assume the modeler tried to model the "ball" inside the intrument, but ALL other ACs in Il2 with artificial horizons don´t have the problem. They are all easily to read even from different angles and different zoom setting. And they have also modelled the "ballish" aspect, without the distorting "kinks".

For pictures saying more than thousand words I created a some Screenshots (http://img34.photobucket.com/albums/v103/cvmIh6EV/artificial%20horizon/)

All shots (except for some additional Go229 Pics) where taken with leveled out plane, as variometer indicates. On every plane besides Go229 and 262, the artificial horizon correspondents with that level flight condition, and the instrument itself is not distored and easy and precise to read.

In Go229 and Me262 however, the instrument can not (really) be read, as the bar has the "kinks" so thet there is no real reference point where to align that bar. It gets worser with different angles, until the artificial horizon is totally rendered useless.

Could this be corrected in upcoming patches or addons (or at least, will this be corrected in BoB?)

PS.. no this is NO Luftwhining, for also LW Planes have errorless and GREAT looking artificial horizons, as shots from Ta and 109k4/Bf110 indicate.

Bump!!

Very strange the insturments don't get that much attention...

Just remember: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=63110913&m=88710023

Most of them are still not fixed.

I also might add 2:

Go-229's ReVi doesn't have a dimmer...
Go-229's compass needle doesn't work (it should be the same like in 109s, 190s etc, the one that points to the next waypoint)

Willey,

I really didn't find any bug in the link. Instead I find that many users really don't know exact things.

Sorry I don't see here any bug or so...
And in BoB we will not see these planes.

Thanks for the Reply.. to further demonstrate what I mean (it thought it was obviously),I made some other (better) picures, I would be glad if you could take a look on them. (http://img34.photobucket.com/albums/v103/cvmIh6EV/red/)

Every Picture consits of a left side and a right, on the left it is shown like the instruments look now in the game, on the right I painted how I THINK they should look like, for on ALL other planes besides Go229 and Me262 they look just like I painted them. (Of course red must be white, I used red to help to identify what I mean)

Thank you.
