Ok, I'm looking for details of a possible german squadron of aces that flew early in the war. Their main characteristic was a large skull and crossed bones on the sides of engine cowling.

Has anyone created such a skin or anyone have any details?

here's my effort of what they might have looked like?

II/JG77 had a skeleton riding a scythe, but other than that, the only skull and crossbones like the ones in your screenshot I can think of are the ones of KG54, and they flew He.111's.

Aren't those Luftwaffe squadrons attached to SS divisions?

Looks like SS Totenkopf to me.

Im not too sure... but I dont think the skull logo was always linked to the SS.

There was a tank devision which used it... I just built a Tamyia model of a panther with one http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I remember stories about captured tank crews ripping of their badges because the russians didnt kindly treat what they thought were SS men.

Eh, mates! What's the good word?
