Hello everyone,

I'm posting here mostly because this is where the central nexus of the community is and its because thats where the developers pass through from time to time.

I just wanted to express my gratitude at what has just been released to us. The wait for the patch was long and sometimes difficult for everyone but I must say that all of the fixes have made for a very enjoyable experience everywhere. AEP was a great addon product and the 2.01 patch furthers my enjoyment by a large margin.

I'm having a great time with the P-47, the Spitfire IX, the I-185 (which is a very perculiar plane to fly and very interesting to learn about), the new FW190A-6 variant...all sorts of things.

Sure there's a few sticking points in the community but let me say that I'm having fun with all of the aircraft...old and new. I also like how we now have a nice Mitchell bomber to play with and it will make a nice addition to the single and co-op missions that I've been working on.

There are issues in the community (need they be mentioned here) but I think while I partially understand a few of them many I do not and I'm going to try and ignore in favor of playing what is a very well done product.

Are there things that I'd ask to be fixed in the future? Sure. Absolutely. There are still things I'd like to see, changes to be made, all kinds of things...but thats not the point. The point is that I'm having fun, there are no serious issues, I can fly every plane I've come across so far (new and old) with no problems, with a historic level of competitiveness and I still gaze in awe at so many of the sights you can see in this game.

So thanks! It certainly makes for a nice distraction from long days at work or at class.

The one thing I miss was in one FB Patch they had AI planes make flying mistake in dogfights and they spin down. That was pure Fun because they make mistake like me, realistic in a haunting way. I hope they can bring that back somehow. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would like that too. Mistakes are Human and should always be put in for AI, even if it looks a bit silly (after all, it`s a mistake!) Although, sometimes, fighters/bombers will stall out if being shot and slightly hit- as if in a panic reaction. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Also, in one version of the patch, maybe the beta 1.22? I noticed that when fighters stalled they would sometimes recover. Now I noticed if they are shot and stall out they always bail, but never manage to recover anymore. Recovering sometimes would have been good.
