Just wanted to know if Oleg's improving, nothing too serious I hope. And I'm not saying that just because I want the patch /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . IL2 / and FB are good products.

No matter what game forum you go to there are lots of complaints about one thing or another, some justified, some not, some respectful some rude. Just want ya to know your work is really appriciated, get well.

Now about adding the Ta-152... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I believe the operation is done, and he's taking a small vacation now. From what I understand. The patch is done, and now it's up to UBI to release it.

No, actually there is another guy on the german forum who is a beta tester. There were some rumors on some other forum from another beta tester *, and they get counter-rumours on the german forum from the other one (no details, just general remarks, like: ), who says he is full of crap with his asessment, the patch is far from ready (at least he hopes so, he said) and also told the German forum (which is by nature mostly a Luftwhiner Forum) to "better enjoy the time there is no patch".

* Here's what he said, I think you should also know it, even when it's just rumors:

1. Game graphic had been speedup. In the normal mode of 1152x864x32, 2xAA + triliniar filtering online 35-55FPS (With lowered ground detales). On the average on GF4600 in comparison with v1.0 about 10 FPS been added.

2. Sound had been reworked. Sound "shading" works, looks like full support for EAX v3.0 been introdused (I don't use hardware acceleration). I can hear hits in my aircraft, can hear (planes) flying hearby, tracers, enemy planes behind me.

3. Network. They promise the decrease in lags. Did not try mass multipleyer.

4. In the regime of "perfec graphic" - bonus - you can see up to 30 km on the ground. The "perfec graphic" is characterized now not only by beautiful water, but also the "correct geometry of the surfaces", "increased distance of surfaces".
The range of the visibility of the aircrafts did not change.

5. In the "Perfec graphic" regime FPS rate increased from 32 FPS to 38 FPS with Radeon9700.

6. They promised to "fix" small machine guns.
MG-13 no longer "adornment", but "lethal force"... So is ShVAK.

7. Caliber of 30mm and larger work according to the principle - "one patient - one pill".
Rarely when the second (pill) is required.

8. With 20mm not so clear. With MG151/20 and MG-FF 2-3 rounds are enough to tear out wings of the LaGG. However, Fokker can stably withstand 20 rounds from ShVAK.

9. FM is not indisputable... but good. Really good.

10. F-4 - Uber. Both on the vertical and on the horizontal plains.

11. Flaps work great.

12. 0% of throttle = 10% of real thrust. Like - in idle. All aircraft hold energy very well. To dump speed it is necessary to actively use flaps and propeller pitch.

13. Aircraft with the dead engine glide about 10 km for the loss of 1000m altitude.

14. Aircrafts without the automatic slats - spin. Spin often.

15. VVS before year 43 - suck.

16. Accuracy of onboard gunners is reduced. During the active maneuvers they cease shooting.

All the above - my IMHO - it can be entirely absent from the patch. Thus far no one knows that they will be inclided in the final release.

Now this is really interesting...

So you would say that the GD-Forum is mostly a Yankwhiner-Forum "by nature", or what?

How comes that I never saw you posting at the german forum?

Its not the first time I saw you making unnecessary negative remarks against germans and Germany in itself, what I find mostly surprising for you seem to be a german, living in Munich, did I get that right?

Well, I have "most" respect for someone who lives in a country, using its infrastructure, its educating systems, its social systems and political democratic structures, but bashing it constantly at every giving opportunity.

And as I already said, you never tried to bring in your opinions in that "Luftwhiner-forum", but prefer to bash it in foreign forums constantly.

Well, if you hate Germany and germans so much, I would suggest you to simply leave it. I`m sure "it" wouldn`t miss you to much.

Of all the comments made in that post/assessment of the patch, the only one that bothers me is the one about the FW-190 (the toughest plane in the game) still being able to absorbs so many cannon rounds. I was about to throw my controller through my monitor last night I got so damn frustrated at the totally ridiculous toughness of the 190. It was absorbing incredible amounts of shells from my 2-cannon and 3-cannon La-7 over and over again. In 4 on 4 dogfights many times my wingmen would leave the fight because they ran out of ammo trying to put the concrete 190 down. The odd thing is that on a rare occasion a single round would take a wing off, yet another time 20 rounds in the wings did nothing. I could probably down 10 109's easy for what it takes to down one FW-190. I really hope they either tone down its toughness in patch or make 20mm cannons more effective (according to this guy it is neither). /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Also, the Macci-202 absorbs an insane amount of 20mm rounds, as do the Yaks.

LOL leonid, relax, I just said what I said, and if the German Forum is not "mostly a Luftwhiner Forum" then I'm Santa Claus. The fact that you don't notice it speaks for it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. And now crawl back into your hole you came from and play "Blockwart" with someone else.

Why is that an insult? You are the one who persecutes and wants me to leave my country because of...yeah, because of what (your remarks are especially funny considering my jobhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )? Because I said Luftwhiner? You are a funny dude, ever heard about freedom? I'm not allowed to say Luftwhiner because I'm German? Ever got the idea that Luftwhiners might be real? I've played many online Flightsims, everyone with a good share of Luftwhiners (in most cases people who have no clue about E fighting and are therefore screwed especially in 190s "I thought it was the best german fighter of the war?!?"), but what I see in IL2/FB sets new standards. Probably because it's the first flightsim for some people, there are many noobs it seems. And no, I'm really not interested to post in such a biased forum like the German one. I'm always more interested in international forums where people from all countries post, they are more balanced and quality is much higher.

Hm, interesting Willey, you don't know what Blockwart means. It doesn't mean Nazi. It's more like Hausmeister, and I think you know it in fact. There were "Blockwarte" before, during and after (even though this term was only used in the DDR anymore after the war afaik) WWII. The point is, besides other responsibilities like logistics and enforcing the house rules, they tended to engage in monitoring, blaiming and reporting "state-hostile" or "decadent" behaviour in their "Block" or house during authoritharian times, and that's why that term is no longer used. And for some reason, I really got the feeling leonid wanted to play blockwart with me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. There will always be "Blockwarte" (not only in Germany), it's just that our state is not interested in them anymore http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Like Willey said.
Obviously you are that ignorant in your anti-german bias that you obviously don`t see the insult in calling everybody a "Nazi".

I only made a suggestion, in case you`re suffering so much under the country you live in. And as I said, its not the first time. And dude, I`m not interested in your job at all.

Oh yes, the political system of the Germany of today gives you nearly every freedom, even to insult it.

And about the "Luftwhiners":
You was talking about Luftwhiners "by nature", forgotten?
That is implicating that every german or at least every member of the german community is twisting facts, suffers under a lack of historical knowledge and is only looking for his personal advantage.

You may have your anti-german opinions, but spreading them in international boards is disgusting and an insult to all those german community-members that are engaged for this sim, showing an incredible historical and technical knowledge and have contributed a lot for its success.
What was it exactly what YOU ever contributed?

- And no, I'm really not interested to post in
- such a biased forum like the German one. I'm always
- more interested in international forums where people
- from all countries post, they are more balanced and

Oh yes, sure.
And you will get a lot of applause of those "balanced" members on international boards only looking for an opportunity to bash the germans, for historical reasons or by generalisating them as "Luftwhiners".

But I`m sorry, you won`t get their respect, for only asshats insult their own country and fellows like you do.

Continue to do so, but everybody will know who you are and where you`re from.

I`ve never seen an american, brit, french or russian doing the same over and over again.

Excluding the small number of asshats, of course.
