It's been over a month since Motor Mayhem ended, and while tracks still keep coming out, most aren't ever posted here as they seem to be silent builders that don't visit those forums.

I know it's summer time where a lot of people are often away so things slow down naturally.

I'd like to see some new life energy into Track Central somehow, even with recent downtimes and issues. And one way to do that is some competition. (even a friendly one without actual physical rewards works for me)

Even just a few new quality tracks using the same common theme/difficulty would be nice to see.

Fusion is still ways off and it would be a shame to see the PC Evo Gold community turn into a graveyard.

I also hope Red Lynx Picks will still feature PC tracks once in a while as well.

I agree. We need another competition (something fun/fast like the 2 hours build comp from xbla) and RedLynx should do picks every week since alot good tracks have to be lucky to reach over 500 downloads on a week in the feeds and get totally forgotten after that.
Also, I would like to see gold edition in the live feed on friday from RedLynx because they told me they are going to do this but I'm still waiting for it. Don't leave us hanging RL!

Also (tought I'd mention it) there will be an option in the future to share favorites on a website (all hail psycad for making this possible http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/pray.gif ). So I hope this will help some beginning builders to get better in building and speed up the building process for everyone.

I'm myself not so good at organizing a comp myself, so if anyone would like to take a lead I'd gladly hear it, just mainly made this thread to poke interest for TE:GE builders.

There was a competition going for forums but then Red Lynx came with motor mayhem, and basicly ended up with only 2 tracks, just let's say it was bad timing, nobody's fault in that.

Looking at the XBLA version forums they have multiple ways to keep it interesting, especially love the one they got going with a list of suggested themes and then random draw 1 of the themes per person (but thats way more fun with a large group as each track will have different themes it'd be very varied).

Of course theres simpler ways to decide a common goal, or even open ended like motor mayhem, but a bit stricter rules could be fun as well as it drives tracks into a certain direction.

Once everything's sorted for me financially (in like 2 weeks or less), I'll be handing out the prizes for my comp and announcing round 2. Gonna have one more shot at getting more than 2 tracks http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

Also, I won't have any financial issues this time and no one's gonna try and stab me and I won't have 2 people to move either. 's all good http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif
