Finally finished my first track, so might as well start a topic for it and any others I may or may not make http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif
Find them by searching for my uPlay name: Eddeman87
Or just the name of the track, but that search function sure is dodgy huh?

Name: Inner Peace
Difficulty: Hard
Bikes: Phoenix (250cc), Scorpion (450cc), Donkey
Description: Pretty fast and not super-hard for the most part, my first track. I'd use the Phoenix but the other bikes can also finish it :]
Replays:
Dam143 - Platinum run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6-1UK_mP70)
By me - Platinum run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw5c3Iie-7c)

Yes. Really enjoyed this one!
(when I faulted on the log section, climbing it up from the checkpoint felt a tad too punishing, but other than that:) easily, 5*

Yeah I was on the fence about the log section from the checkpoint, the people I had test the track got the hang of it after a few runs though.
Was the hardest part of the track for me if I didn't resort to gas-fapping at the top log.

Glad you liked it otherwise though, thanks for playing :]

I think this is my favorite track so far on TC. Very well done!
Took me forever to get my <36 time. I was a bit miffed that you beat it
back so quickly, and by so much. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

^ Glad you liked it http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif

I did have some practice while making it, but it took me a few tries. I beat you by a bit less at first then improved it when I spent some more time on it.

No matter now though, as Dam143 took 1st place from me http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif I added a YT-link of his run to the first post.

Finished my new track now, a speedy medium called The Wetlands! Hope you enjoy it :] There's a youtube link in the first post with a replay.

Also there's a small end sequence after a few seconds, nothing spectacular though http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

Really fun track, but man that beam after the house jump ruins all my runs. Had to settle for a 40 sec run because it was really frustrating me. It is so far into the track that it was just really disheartening to have it kill all my runs. Most likely just me not being good at the move but man it was killing me, haha. Great job on the track, that beam and I just don't agree with each other.

^ Yeah it's a bit tricky, either you can do it slow and take the upper path afterwards, or if you're amazing at the weird ****ty move that's possible there you can drop right onto the low ramp. I think I only made that a few times while testing though.

Think I might have made the line a bit hard in some places, I was watching some of the replays and people were getting stuck in the halfpipe thing next to the train.
I thought they would just take it slow and land on the platform before that then jump over it but that didn't happen http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/sad.gif

I went and got a better time for myself this morning, so anyone interested in that can just watch my replay in-game. It's not a perfect run but it's good :]

Really sweet track, dude. Loved it. Thumbs up for the ending too, better than "nothing spectacular" in my opinion.

Keep it up, thanks for creating. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/clap.gif

Great track man. I'm currently too busy trying to finish my own track but I'll definitly go back to it, trying to get that platinum. Even if I die trying http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif

Loving this track, nice work! Having some struggle doing the end of the track smoothly, but I think it may just take some practice after watching how you did it in your replay.

Cheers man! Glad you liked the ending, it took some time to set up right since I never did something like that before.
Actually I had all of it working fine, then I connected everything to the impulse from the finishing checkpoint and everything was suddenly broken http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

Sweet! The platinum is pretty damn challenging for most people I think so even if you just get close it's great. Hopefully you will get it though http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif

Yeah it's definitely tricky, while the track may be a medium in obstacle difficulty the speedrun line is on the harder side of things.
Also the last timesaver is probably the hardest part since it saves a lot of time.

Thanks to everyone for playing and commenting (both in and out of the game), I really appreciate it!

And I also want to thank everyone that helped out testing the track, your feedback has helped me a lot :] And I'm always up to return the favor if you need it.

Released a new track, a (mostly) high-speed ninja called Reach for the Sky. Bring your braketap to spin faster in the air :p

Hopefully it's not too laggy, kinda painted myself into a corner with my build so I had a hard time optimizing stuff :<

Also I want to thank those who helped test: ikki59, psycad, bassline001, ConfusedMuscles.
Feedback helped me fix stuff and make some things more interesting, so cheers for that!

Edit: Added a Youtube link of my platinum run to the first post.

Nice to see you uploaded it. Haven't been trying ninja's that much because usually I don't get past the first obstacle lol, but yours might be on my skill level since I managed to pass some checkpoints and yeah it's a really cool track. Nicely done http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/clap.gif

Well, finally passed it. Got down to about 25 faults I think. I feel like the checkpoint before the one at the top of the dropdown is placed wrong. I couldn't consistently make it over to the ramp to get up onto the incline. I kept getting annoyed at the next cp too. I would get to the last ramp before the jump up to fender grab and my tires would just stick to the ramp and make me fall. Just got to me a bit because that checkpoint is so damn long, haha. The track looks really nice though man.

Hm maybe I'm dumb but I couldn't figure out if you meant the first fenderhook checkpoint or the one after the tower, so let me know and I'll have an answer http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

The one after the tower. The final ramp, sometime I would just crash when I landed. On the ramp. Also I've got beef with the final obstacle of your track. It has killed so many great runs, lol. I couldn't land consistent on the ramp before the backtire bounce part. I kept overshooting it or coming up short.

The final ramp there all depends on how far back on the ramp you hit since the curve of the ramp is so tight.
I found it most consistent to have the nose almost pointing at the ground when hitting far back and less so when landing on the slope part.
It's not always easy to tell when you're going down there at a million miles an hour though lol.

With a bit more space between the walls there I could have made a ramp with a less tight curve which should have fixed it.

The last one is probably easiest from the checkpoint http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_asleep.gif'm very consistent from that position at least) so in a 0-fault speedrun it's a bit hard to hit yeah.

The checkpoint before the tower should probably have been moved back a bit since it's easier when coming from the previous one (or backing up as a lot of people did).

Ya just little small things, nothing major. Next time you should use a wider variety of pieces besides metal ramps. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/smile.gif

Yeah I plan to, I kept using the metal ramps because I wanted things to be smooth and because I was too lazy to use anything else with invisible ramps for collision :p

Released a new Extreme after a few months of on-and-off work on it.
Might be a bit laggy since it's curved inside a tower, not much I could do about it since I didn't have people test until it was pretty much done <.<
Could have done some more with the deco, but I just wanted to get it done so I could move on http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

cannot get over how amazing this track is! i grinded out a 46 second time and had an absolute blast doing it. all of the obstacles were really well done, none frustrating or inconsistent, culminating in a fantastic driveline. the atmosphere and decoration are phenomenal and I love looking down into the complex to see some new detail in the far distance

if i could give this more than 5 stars, i would instantly. unreal track http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/clap.gif

Thanks for playing guys, glad you liked it. I had some reservations about the driving line myself but it seems I was getting paranoid http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/razz.gif

I did make a last minute change to the third checkpoint, it was so wildly inconsistent unless you came to a complete stop I just had to re-design it.
Seems it worked out okay.
There's some minor inconsistencies left that I know of though, one was so rare in testing I guess I didn't manage to fix it after all
(stupid metal beam in the hillclimb-ish thing bumps you sometimes).

Feel free to point out if there's something you didn't like though, I'm always looking to improve.
