If you have been receiving an error similar to this:


Error in the application D:Config.Msi\PTDF.tmp. The file may was already activated and cannot be changed with the patch. Please contact the Patch- Retailer if you have any questions

You were not be able to install the patch. That issue has been resolved on the server side, and you should be able to now download and get the patch.

If you continue to get the error message, you will need to reinstall the game. This will clear all faulty patches and ensure you get the correct one. You can save your progress and tracks by saving with Cloud sync enabled. Just be sure not to uninstall/reinstall your Uplay client, or you may lose your Cloud progress.

The uninstallation dialog will separately ask whether you want to save your settings and save file content, so these should be kept (they should be kept as a default).
