and no RBJ, it is not that it is now sooooooo slow that it is useless to put them on a slider...

here the point :

yesterday evening, i discovered that in a dogfight session, my direction trim wasn't reset to neutral when i change plane. It became annoying when i realized that i could do nothing about it, because my new plane didn't possess a direction trim, so trying to return my trim to neutral had no effect.

finally, i had to come in play with a plane that was equiped of a direction trim, return my trim to neutral, and then switch back to the other plane.

i think it would be most useful to have the trims set to neutral when you take a new plane. Or if any other solution is better, i'll take it too, like allowing the "return to neutral" function work even if your plane don't have trims.

That's a valid bug, and should be fixed. Bump.

If you have a programmable stick or HOTAS, you could make your own trim statement (although this would also enable trim on planes which never had one). I am talking about an axis trim statement. It's like moving the stick and keeping it at that position. It would respond immediately. But you coud event trim the I-16 that way. I also think that that would solve the bug when changing planes.

thx for having tried to keep this bug report from sinking to fast...

well, since the patch is due next week (a lot of kittens hope this will be the case), and that its readme will contain a form for bug report, i will check again at that time and then fill the form if necessary...

i think it is quite useless to hope to have a bug report get noticed here in ORR...

i don't even see the point of keeping the ORR running... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I use the RBJ shift so I can do bat-turns at will just like in IL2.

Unfortunatly the nature of the RBJ shift makes it so if I fly a plane with no trim, I have to constantly fight the stick to fly level.

If this bug is true it would be a great way to straighten out my controls (pre-trim a different plane in order to trim out a plane with no trim) in online dogfights.

Surprise, surprise RBJ tries to find an exploit he can use to his advantage.
