Hello everyone,
I'm going to make some co-op missions in the AEP "Full Mission Builder" for my friends and I to fly, and we particularly want to attack stuff on the ground, for example I'd like to create a V-1 Rocket site to attack (it's mentioned in the AEP read me file). In the FMB pull-down menu for "Objects" there are over 300 objects to choose!! It seems like it takes me hours to find something, so I was wondering - does anyone know if there is available somewhere a description of each object in that list?? For example, Object #78 = Tent. Has some brave soul even attempted to do this huge task?!

Many thanks.

Check under the "Rockets" object menu and see if what you're looking for is there.

The V1 is listed as a rocket in the objects viewer.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Korolov and Willvic. I've still had no luck with the V-1 Rocket, I've followed the Readme file which says, "The V-1 rocket is a completely new object type with a new set of parameters. To use it, open Full Mission Builder, load a map, and in the object browser find a Rocket object set..." In my pull-down menu for the "Objects" browser I've got the usual list all the way from "Aircraft" all the way down to "Front Marker" but nothing that mentions anything to do with rockets. I've made sure I've check marked "Show All" in the "Display Filter." I've searched under "Stationary Objects" and all 345 "Objects," and everything else, with no luck at all.At the risk of sounding like an imbecile who can't read or see something that's meant to be right in front of me, I'm beginning to wonder if the V-1 Rocket exists! Many thanks for your help guys.

There are instructions in Oleg's Ready Room to make the V-1 appear in the Object viewer. It's in one of the threads at the top of the forum. Worked for me. S!

3. FMB doesn't show new window for V-1. Can't be fixed. Read bellow how to solve easy this problem of some users)

------------------------------

How to solve the number 3 bug as it is not our bug, but installer "features"...

This may happens if the user has the file bldconf.ini set to read only attributes (this may happenes some time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif).
IAEP installer in this cas don't overwrite the old fil by a new one.
Solution is easy:

1) Install AEP over v.1.0 or remove attributes read only on your hard disk for the file bldconf.ini before install of AEP for any other than v1.0, if it is installed not from original CD.

2) If you installed it already. Simply correct you bldconf.ini file manually
find there section

[builder_plugins]

And insert this line

(builder.PlMisRocket,sectFile=com/maddox/il2/objects/rockets.ini)

On cataloging the objects, heres a tip that I use:
While I certainly won't complain if somebody posts a list of all the items, there is an easier way. You may notice that the items are usually grouped. For intsance, most of the summer airport items are consecutive object numbers (in the mid 60s, of the top of my head), and the winter airport objects are in the same order a bit further down the list. All one has to do is jot down the ranges like this:
Palm trees: #168-175
So many of the items are normal buildins usually all you have to do is jot down the items of interst, and ignore the rest.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me on this one. I followed Quazimotto and Steve_V guidelines and IT WORKED! HOORAY! And thanks to the other guys for their suggestions as well. Much appreciated, a great community for helping each other.

Problem solved - on with the FMB! Goodnight all.

That's a great idea, I hope dwieser (see his comment above) sees this suggestion. Thank you!

I found this on ubi or simhq.I can not remember. It is the readme that came with the list.It is for up to 1.21 but should get you started if you can find it.

This list contains (numbered) pictures of all the (unnamed) objects like buildings or trees that are available in the full mission builder of FORGOTTEN BATTLES v1.21. It includes all new objects that were introduced with the 1.21 patch.
Should make it a bit easier to build a mission that is using these objects.
Just print the list and use it as a reference.

Acrobat 5 or higher is required to open the PDF

Have you all seen the screenshots posted by nsu recently of an Afrika setting?
http://ncd357.spencer.netclusive.de/nsu/onlinemap/afrika/1.GIF
The fortification in this screenshot was made using:
The location is the top center of Online Map #6

Walls, Objects 14, 15, & 16
Trees, Objects 168-175
The little houses are Objects 4, 5, & 6,
and I forget what object number the factory was (14, maybe?)
Also, I thought buildings 197 & 210 looked appropriate for inclusion as well.

Make some missions based on a fortification like the one above, download a bunch of desert skins, and you'll really be anxious to get a desert map!
