AliandtII is working on it as well as a whole team of researchers. We don't need more pressure. Modeling at least 7 different cockpits takes A LONG TIME! Personal life also intervenes. Yes, it's being worked on, as I've stated in countless posts.

All we can ask is for you to be very, VERY, patient. It will take a long, long time to get this bomber in, but we will do everything we can to make sure it does get in. At the moment I'd say that at least 15% of one of the positions is done. There is steady progress.

Please wait and don't make another topic, or comment about it. If you want to offer research info, that would be great.
you can send it to:

If you can't wait get a A.I Flyable Program in the mean time.

PBNA-Boosher, you are right and people SHOULD be patient, but you ought to know by now that such appeals fall mostly on deaf ears. All I can say is, do like Oleg: Ignore the whines and work away quietly and diligently. Some of us appreciate the work it all must take.....

15% of 1 of 7 positions = 2.14% complete

Steady Progress? er...

See you in a couple of years guys.

The way I see it.... I have been waiting to fly a P-51 under these FMs (A sim as good or better than IL2 which FB is IMO)since I firat bought IL2 in 2002.... now I have four of them to choose from. Take your time... this sim is going to go down in history as THE definitive flight sim at the turn of the century and 1C will mean great flight sims as long as they maintain the same level of qulity that they have. I got all the time I have left on this Earth since I will be buying 1C sims as long as I can hold a joystick and see a screen..and Ill be flying FB exclusively till BoB comes out.

Say, why not make only the pilot's position flyable? That would take only as much work as one fighter plane cockpit, right?

Alot of work for one plane. I'd MUCH rather see flyable IL-10s, Hs-129s, Hs-123s, TU-2Ss, U-2VSs, and FW-189s. But whateva, it will be cool I s'pose.

Flyable B-17s won't be much good until we get a set of maps that covers the airspace from the British Coast (with atleast one airstrip) to Berlin. The current Normandy map simply doesn't have good targets for a box to hit.

I love the bombers but I can wait as long as it takes. I'd rather wait than, say, have it flyable but with no gunner positions to operate. In the meantime I'm enjoying the He-111 enormously, and the TB-3 is fun too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nooooooo....

We need more Bf109's and Yak-x's. We don't have the ones with the blue dashboard lights, just the red ones. And what about the versions that come with winter tires? Why don't they model more of those?

And I was very diappointed with the Bf110. Nice cockpit but misssing the vintage Bratwurst and beer fart smell in the seat cushions that we were all promised. Ahhhhhhhhh!

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif hehe Nice one James http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Seriously, I share Seafire's sentiments - unfortunately some people will never be happy with what they've got and will always whine about wanting this or that and wanting it yesterday (patch anyone?http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) sadly, C'est la vie.

I mean for gooodness'sakes we even have whiners who whine about whining ehehehe http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif not that I am including anyone here in that category you understand.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Patience is a virtue....

To be honest, I dont care how long a plane takes to make it into this sim as flyable, I am just grateful when/if we get it.... Personally I am champing at the bit for a DO 335, but thats for elsewhere....

Whining about it, wont make it appear any quicker...

NOW, wheres that Patch again? ROFLhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

Don't worry about it. If you think of how many players there are and the small amount of whiners you'll realize there's no need to waste the grease. Let them squeek until they break. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

Take your time, enjoy your personal life, and continue to produce quality. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Many more appreciate it then you realize.

Hey Benny, I don't think the '17's cockpit would be as easy as a fighter's. Have you seen all the dials, gauges etc. in a B-17 cockpit? It would definately be a hair puller to get completely functional. Heck, I don't know what half this stuff is or does http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif, but I got a book somewhere that gives the layout.

PBNA, I have some odds and end things, but they may not be much help. What exactly would you be looking for anyway?

As a last resort, you could "borrow" the outstanding B-17 F and G cockpits from SWOTL http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif To the best of my knowledge, 1:C doesn't "borrow" from ANY program other than their own. I'm o.k. with that and Alaindt does excellent work. So, I'll wait and be ecstatic when it finally arrives.
