Has anyone else noticed that after a mission in a campaign or single-player, and Me-163 Komets that return to base always land nearby. They don't use the runways as they cannot taxi, so they come in to land in the surrounding countryside near the airfield.

However, in your post-flight debrief, they count as lost.

What do you have to do? Maybe wait a while until that little special-built tractor vehicle drives out and picks them up? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Fear not the Darkness. Rather, fear that which it conceals...

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gifI find landing is better in the grass by the field than on the run way strip with the Me 163.
It's mostly because there is barely any stearing on the ground when landing... for me anyway.
And it would be Mint if we did had a set-up that rearmed & refuel after we landed. And then be able to go back into the action. Maybe in the Future. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Unfortunately as soon as the Me163 runs out of fuel it it gets treated by the game as a glider. Nothing you can do (except shooting it down http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) will divert it from it's arrow-straight trajectory , and like all the other gliders in the game it has no sense whatsoever and usually lands in the trees or in towns etc.

I haven't played a dynamic campaign with the Komet, but in all 163 other missions I just ignore my wingmen and hope that the enemy fighters pick on them rather than me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.
Cheers!
