Track name: Khans Peak
Creator: Citizen Khan
Type: Trials
Difficulty: Medium
Released: 4.27.12

This track can basically be divided into 3 parts:

Beginning of track: obstacles (man-made and natural)
End of track: hill climb (moderate)

This is my first try at making a track. Would like to know the areas that people think work well, as well as those that don't work quite so well.

I'm not quite sure if this should be considered a medium or hard track. I've seen tracks that are listed as 'Medium' that seem much, much harder to me - yet so far, nobody has gotten past my track with 0 faults. I've only managed to pass it once with zero faults, and that was during testing.

Also let me know how the driving line works, if I need to work on any of the curves, etc.

At the beginning of the hill climb, I have some falling rocks - one of my first real attempts at working with the triggers and physics. Doesn't affect the trial, it's more just for background effect.

Finally, the track ends with a mad dash down the reverse side of the mountain. I've noticed a lot of people tend to crash towards the end of this run, right before the final ramp. Should I leave this as is, or should I lay some track down for people to land on?

Would really appreciate getting some solid constructive criticism.

Will try it now.

Ok tried it. Well, it's not bad, just not very polished http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/smile.gif I'd have liked the use of the "driving line marks", they really add a lot to the feeling you're riding on a set course, instead of "randomly through the grass". Then, you let the driving line go too many times over the "side of the hills" so to speak, which isn't very satisfying, IMO, and indeed it happens VERY rarely (if ever?) in the stock courses.

All in all, a decent track, but my suggestion is that to try a bit harder with details that are going to add to the experience.

If you consider the limit of 150 something courses you can download, and the literal FLOOD of tracks that's coming right now, spending that 5-10 hours more on the design can really make the switch from "ok track" to "it's a keeper" http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif

Did you check my track Royal Crumble? (Gamertag: VIT DeSangre). I used falling rocks too, but see for yourself where/how http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon/biggrin.gif
