Hey all. We are working on improving our Website and other portions of our online presence. While we have a lot of ideas and we know there's a lot of work ahead, we'd also like to get your feedback and ideas on the current Website. So take a look at www.redlynx.com (http://www.redlynx.com) if you haven't recently, or ever http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif, and tell us what you think it's missing.

Is this topic just for http://www.redlynx.com or is it also for http://www.redlynxgame.com? You guys should put something into the backround of http://www.redlynx.com. I also had a look for the website I found earlier. It was perfectly designed but I couldnt find it anymore http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif . Anyway you guys should make the site a little bit more "interesting".

Something like a clan option would be cool. So that you have a sheed with tournaments on it. A voice chat for the webchat would be nice aswell.
Otherwise I personally think that http://www.redlynxgame.com is better designed then http://www.redlynx.com but I guess you cant really compare those two sites because they have different uses.

Well what is the goal?

Right now redlynx.com seems to be a site that is marketed towards future prospect partners. It contains corporate information and it seems that it was not meant for players or fans to view.

That is the page for trialshd!? http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif Not very welcoming at all, it's like you are trying to sell the products to corporations that are willing to resell the product.

So with that said what is RedLynx's goal? Create a site towards their userbase? Create a corporate site? Or use Redlynx.com to work as a portal to other sites like a complete designated site for TrialsHD, Monster Truck Nitro and DrawRace like trials2se has and have tons of cool stuff like the human dart?

Hopefully I can be of more help other than just raising more questions. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif

making a site for their user/fanbase, just check out trialshd.net and expand on it. news, links, contests, tournaments, videos, user created content, etc.

Use CSS instead of specifying inline style information.

You could also use resolution layouts, for different sized browser windows, there's a nice article about it here:

Thanks for the suggestions guys, well most of them. Sorry, but we will not be pursuing eflixxx's idea of adding pornography to the Website. The people who work here simply aren't attractive enough. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Let me answer Scrub's excellent question in a little more detail. Yes, the current design was intended more towards potential corporate partners...but no more! While we will retain some of that corporate information, the idea is to bring the cool stuff to the top, likes games, community, our Twitter feed, a blog, etc.

So the ideas we are interested in are what *you* as fans of our games want to see. I hope that clears things up a bit.

how about merging with trialshd.net? get those custom leaderboards in the official site, directly connected to your servers, so that we can get online leaderboards for ingame tracks in Trials HD, and maybe for the customs also in a the next Trials game YOU ARE MAKING

add the posibility to watch the 5000 replays for each track online as well as on xbox. (with a download option ofcourse)

Personally I think that community involvement is the biggest asset you SHOULD take advantage off on the new site. For example, everyone that usually signs up to this forums are interested in a couple of things.

1. Promote their tracks and find good players
- Maybe create a get to know page where you can interview a track creator talk about him/her and show some of their tracks so people looking for tracks can see what is going on. Plus it allows people that are buried under the top track creators to shine.

2. Look for players that create good tracks
- With the use of TOTD twitter and player interviews this could be accomplished.

3. Complain/Suggest about game features
- Do a Questions and Answers section. Maybe with funny videos addressing the common issues, maybe FAQ, hints at possible changes and pleas HYPE HYPE HYPE your games and future games

4. Tournaments/Prizes
- This is already in place and you guys are doing a wonderful job at it. I think you guys are a bit too behind the scene. Go bananas and help promote the tournaments you wish to endorse on the site and HYPE things up.

5. Get to know the TOP RIDERS
- I don't know how many times I see people get on here to meet top riders like Les, Red, Murdoch, JJtheGerman, pahapperti(sp) and others. Doing interviews and having a way to show them to the world and the fact that they are not bots might get people interested to see what is going on.

- Also maybe sponsoring a TOP RIDER and have him take on challenges and tournaments could increase the value of tournaments and competition

6. Interested in the life of RedLynx!!!
- Everyone here are mostly fans so anything you guys do lets say a vid/article on life of redlynx employees, making of games and throwing human darts shows us that you are a company that is in tune with its players.

It's nice to see the team responding to the community and when we see you guys on chats, forums or even games, I think changes RedLynx from just being a company, to being a bunch of cool peeps that are just like us and not above us.

This is just ideas of what I would like to see from Redlynx. Heck I might even incorporate that on my website, but I'm not sure I can sponsor a Track Creator or a Top Rider. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

You guys probably know the console sports league. It would be cool if trials hd would be in there...or atleast the next trials. With professinal clans and all that stuff.
Maybe something like an extra site for this stuff. That would be so great. Because then the most people would get so addicted to this game that would kill for their next trials "shoot". Anyway sponsors for this kind of things wouldnt be that hard to find probably so their would be big Trials HD tournaments aswell. Thats my dream
And maybe some kind of livestream...

No offense to your web designer but your site looks like something from 2006. I visited it and the links to "visit our forums", "RLTV youtube channel", and your twitter didn't work.

If you look at the site it would seem you guys are still the little finnish indie company. You guys are kinda a big deal now. You guys have got a respectable amount of accolades and a pretty good sales record even tho your main title is nearing a yr old.

I actually have an iphone...why haven't you guys enticed me to get MTN II? I'm down for anything Redlynx but for some reason i haven't taken the 5 minutes to grab it.

Your forums are good and you have a community, make it work for you. Add a facebook link and a more visible twitter link, not just on your front page but on the forum gui too. When i want to check out you guys twitter i usually search for the "redlynx on twitter" thread, i'm sure there's an easier way to do it, but if you had a twitter icon near "webchat" on your forum it would be easier to see what you guys were saying. Maybe even a link to RLTV if you plan on having semi-regular content to share.

I'd recommend putting out an ad for web designers, check out some portfolios, see if anyone catches your eye. Your site doesn't need to look corporate or have lots of Flash. Just something that lets ppl know who you are, what you do, why they should check you out, and why you've earned the respect of your community. Make it easy to become a part of the community and make it easy to want to become part of the community. I can't tell you how many random ppl msg me and i reply "check out trialshd.net and the redlynx forums". Some have joined and some haven't. Although from contests to the frequency with which you interact with your clientele i don't know what more you could do.

Here's an article on web design that's slightly dated and probably not dealing with what you're going for but may lead to something your looking for. http://www.noupe.com/how-tos/7-key-principles-that-make-a-web-design-look-good.html

What would "i" the fan want to see? A bigger community. Other than that, you guys have a contest once a month and you guys participate on your forums....i really enjoy the akatamariuk journals. Anything i get interested in i like to know the process or behind the scenes stuff. I also like it when you guys ask for feedback on stuff. Other than that i think i'll have to wait till the holy grail of a 60$ Trials HD full game is released.

I guess aB1s would help you to design your new website for free. He's a graphic designer.

Yeah JJtheGerman is right. I'am a graphic designer. If you guys are interested I can send you my work...just tell me the email. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

HAHA, i noticed that after i posted it. Ill let the moderator delete it. Well maybe someone else more important will see it and agree. That and Trialshd.net is linked to redlynx GameScrub.

Yeah I'm trying to send possible new commers to this forum. I don't want to create a separate forum to compete. Everything pretty much points to them. Their store, redlynx tv and forums. In reality is more their site than mine haha since I don't make money on it.

I'm just a big fan that takes things too far.

add an rss feed to the headline and instead of this:

make them all equal if not them replace them some how
