Hey guys!
Just promoting my tracks, every bit of feedback ive had so far has been very good, and im getting better each one i make.
THe purpose of my tracks are 'fun' i dont make hard tracks so people cant do them, but they do require some skill in some places, but mostly ive made huge jumps with great and cool ideas that will just leave you breathless http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I currently have 3 tracks, now halfway making a 4th which is looking my best so far..

Feel free to add me.
Gamertag: iAdidass v

NOTE: Please post back of what you thought of my maps for feedback, would be much apprechiated, thanks in advance!

(My old GT was Elements1992 but i have changed it to 'iAdidass v')

I tried out your tracks and you have some good ideas but also some major flaws. You have a lot of parts in the tracks that are VERY choppy and slow either because there is too much fire or way too many objects and/or lights. It may be depending on the style you are going for but I would smooth out some of the riding lines and landings. I liked your big loops and that loop made up of a ton of ramps/metal plates (although it was pretty choppy).

Yeah, thanks for the feedback smokin, i have obviously noticed this and the only case its really bad is the 'My Awesome Track' level where this is alot of fire, sort of wanted to make it go slow motion but many people may find it annoying i know, in my newer levels thier is alot less lag as i do see it is more 'choppy' than slow motion.

Nearly finished 'Vertigo' my new level which doesnt have any lag at the moment, so looking good.

NOTE: My 4th track 'VERTIGO' is up and running now!

Its a big track with lots of falls and jumps etc (hence the name)
And really fun! http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Well with vertigo I think you're getting better. Definetely no choppy spots which is good.

Some things to consider: Try to keep a good point of view on the rider you have patches in your track where he dissapears from view and I crash easily because I can't see. Also to make a section challenging you have to keep it fun and possibly break down each section into short and sweet subsections. And on top of all this try adding scenery because a visual appearance is good to have.

I know I'm suggesting a lot of changes and you may have your own priority of style, but if you want to understand what a good track should be just study RedLynx's tracks.

I understand, you think i should try making a map with scenery?
Because when i make a map, i delete nearly every 'block' in site which means i cant create any scenery really.
Really apprechiate the feedback and ill make my next map trying to keep in mind as much as you said as possible.

Just a note guys:

Im currently working on 2 new tracks, one which is nearly finished and the other i started a couple of days ago because i came up with a pretty cool idea.
Ones called M.A.Z.E and the other being 'City Rooftops'
Ive nearly completed M.A.Z.E but i cant do anymore until i figure out how to do a elevator =p

But both maps are muchh different from my other 4 maps, ive spent nearly triple the time on them to make them as perfect as possible. And City Rooftops includes ALOT of detail. I cant include detail on M.A.Z.E but you'll see why when you play it http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

So could of had it up by now but its been delayed again =/
Should be up soon though =p

Great, Orange had great success, some claiming its one of the funnest tracks they have ever played. Im pleased with the feedback.
I have now also started to make another track which ive been working on for 2 days straight now, its looking very promising, ive called it 'The Temple Of Fish-Face' lol, and its a very detailed map and ive thought of some crazy.
In this track, unlike any of my previous tracks, i have created a scene where you start of in a rocky mountain and you have to find your way to The Temple Of Fish-Face, once inside you travel very deep into this un-stable ancient temple and have to over-come alot of crazy obstacles. But thats not the end of it..then you have to try get out http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Im currently just under half way through i'd say, and still got plenty of new ideas to use...but im sorta worried that im going to reach the 1,000 object limit before i finish it because of all the detail http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Thanks for adding me to your friends list and PLEASE dont remove me. By far some of the best tracks i have played in awhile.....! I liked orange the most, better than some of the official game tracks. Its nice just to set back and ride fast.

Be sure to let me know when you have new maps!!!!!

Keep up the good

Hey guys !
My new map 'Temple Of FishFace' is up and running!
its a detailed map which you have to find your way inside the temple, onky to overcome the obstacles inside...but then you have to exscape it before it blows to pieces!
Its quite a fun map but had to cut quite a few stuff out of it because of the 1000 object limit =[
All feedback is apprechiated!

I was enjoying the Fish Face track when all of a sudden I was riding under a building or something and the camera was completely behind a wall. It did not fix itself until i crashed. After I restarted on the checkpoint the camera fixed itself. =\

Other than that I had a blast with it and I will try and get a better time on it. Thanks man good job!

Ahh i see, dont think no one else suffered the same thing...maybe a little glitch? im not sure, i didnt experience anything like it when i was test riding it.
But thanks Scrub, apprechiated http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Just to point out my newest track is out called 'City Rooftops' its got a scene to it but has had some complaints that its quite easy (didnt wana make it too hard)
And thiers a couple of parts where you cant see your bike (but its still easy to ride)
Thiers one or two spots of where it lags, but it doesnt lag bad, just a tiny bit and not for long.

And thats about all, i admit its not my best track but would like to share it anyway.
Just add me, if my FL is full (which is likely) just send me a message on here or xbox and ill make some room (:

Hey guys my 8th track is up called 'Style'

Its a short but sweet map with some cool ideas and scenery, i tried something new with this track, tell me your thoughts.

NOTE: I renamed all of my tracks so they have Ems - at the beginning just so people can tell which maps are what now =p
Should of done that ages ago but ah well :L

Just stating that i might not be making anymore maps guys.
I might come back to making maps when the DLC comes out, new objects etc.

But i really dont think i cut it as a good 'map maker' everyones maps are so much better than myn, i have alot to learn and ive been making maps for a long period of time.
Im struggling to create some things, such as carts and advanced physical stuff, so just gonna take a break.
Maybe just focus on my leaderboard positions, as im a better driver than map maker! http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Okay guys, after a break ive decided to start making again.
Ive started my new track which is looking very promising, ive named it 'Wonderland'

So far it's deffiently looking my best track so far, im spending alot of time on it and taking all of my previous advice into account.

NOTE: If you still havnt tried my previous tracks, my FL is nearly constantly full, so dont hesitate to ask me on here or XBL and i will delete someone for some space for you (:
Thanks,.

It's been a while guys but i told you i'll be back after the DLC.

I started making my newest track yesturday, not quite sure what to call it but its based in an abandoned, scary school (any ideas?)
Gonna spend alot of time on it, making alot of detail, i dont want to release anything short of perfect like some of my previous tracks.

PS: I'll delete a few people of my friends list so you guys could add me to test out my previous maps in deciding whether you'd like to play my newest one.
Thanks!

Hey Guys, my newest creation with the DLC is up, called 'Education' it's a very detailed map set inside a deserted school.
It's set at a hard difficulty, but is probably between medium - hard.

Any feedback is apprechiated, Thanks.

Okay, im thinking of kinda changing my style of creating maps, instead of creating maps set on a theme, i might go with more of a proper sort of medium track and focus on flow and medal times (kinda like red rider) and add some great scenery to make it look the part.
But i want to know what you guys think, do you prefer my old maps based on a theme, or would you like to see a medium map based on flow, seeming as no one has bothered to post anything here =[

i would go for flow man, makes the playability last much longer. most themed tracks i only play once or twice

I hear ya, i think i'd enjoy making maps that flow too.

But tbh, i'd think you'd only play them once or twice aswell, considering you'd probably plat it in 2 tries http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Hey Element, I would just like to say I loved all your tracks, some more than others though. I'm too sure about the names but my favourite was probably the one where it starts out like a temple, where you have to break the front gates down, very pleasing theme. The majority of the tracks had new, fun ideas I had never seen before, I really enjoyed the themes on the track like on Wonderland. I sometimes found the camera angles you chose annoying, I found it increadibly hard to progress on the track. My least favourite was orange, the amount of switches were great, but the orange background was annoying, much like that of 8-bit trip, I find it hard to concentrate on the track with that kind of background. I'm just giving you little problems that will help you improve you future tracks (Please, please make more!) http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif I also found the difficulty levels a little off, for example, the only easy track I found to be harder than some of the medium tracks, and the hard track didn't seem as hard as some of the medium tracks http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif. Honestly I really like all of them, and I look forward to more.

Thanks T4K, apprechiated feedback...
Alot of people have confronted me about the camera issue and i'll be glad to get rid of them or adjust them in my future tracks if it means making them better.
Thanks again.

Whats up elm. I got around to grinding through your tracks. Your tracks are all visually pleasing. They are fairly frustrating until you learn them though. There are a lot of instances where the floor falls out from under you with no warning. Perhaps a sign or something to warn when it is coming?

Anyways I had fun with them and education is my favorite. I will better my times then post em up.

Cheers Jook, thanks for the feedback, apprechiated.

I noticed that myself, although my tracks are visually appealing, they don't have much playability...you may play them once and enjoy them, but thats it.

But i'm totally changing my way of making tracks now. My first new project will be entered into the User Created Track competition.
I'm going for good visual tracks but gonna apply flow to make them fast flowing and hopefully give people more of a reason to post up a time.
