hey everyone, check out the vid of my 1st track here: http://www.vimeo.com/6565576 (vid very kindly ridden and edited by my brother rickydude360)

I've tried to keep the track short and sweet, fairly challenging but not too hard to get through to encourage re-play factor... I spent quite a lot of time making it look nice (about 12 hours maybe) http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif and a couple of weeks of playtesting and tweaking to iron out the slowdown and perfect the camera angles etc

Anyway, check out the vid - and add me if you want to test it out for yourself. Feedback much appreciated as I'm now working on a second track http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi there,

Thanks for the FR earlier today. Just had a go at your "steelworks#9" track. I knew what to expect after seeing the video capture you made but it's great to ride it too. A fantastic course and lots of nice obstacles and stuff. Looks good too, you can tell you've spent a lot of time on it. Only thing I think could do with a little adjustment is some of the camera angles near the end. It could just be me, but personally I thought they detracted from it a bit and made those last ramps much harder. I don't know, maybe that was your intention? Anyway, overall really, really good and I can't wait for your next creation!

Really nice track! Specially like that spinning tire obstacle you have going there; so many ideas sprang to mind when riding it. I like spending a lot of time on making the tracks look good too, so it's cool to see someone else doing the same. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I do agree with LM there regarding the camera angles near the end there - just seemed to throw me off a little when trying that jump. I did manage to get it down no trouble on the 3rd or so run through though.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I think I tend to agree about those last 2 camera angles too... I'll fix and re-upload.

Actually, I'm surprised no-one commented on my choice of 'hard' skill level rather than medium... I guess this reflects the fact that I'm not very good at the game itself - certainly having played some of your guys tracks (hard - no kidding) It seems I need more riding practice and less level building time

Glad you all enjoyed it http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Really great track. Very nice looking and fun to drive, and yes it should be in the hard category

hi everyone, just made a few changes based on everyones feedback:

1. Changed the last two camera angles to be more helpful
2. Changed the camera above the tire swings at the start to make the jump onto the 'seesaw' less of a leap of faith
3. Removed the trigger on the two boards that you drop onto in the tunnel to allow more control as you fall
4. Course is now 'hard'

Timings still stay the same... anyone cracked the platinum medal yet?

Oh, and i've uploaded the track i made while learning the editor... nowhere near as good as Steelworks but fun nonetheless http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
