I love you guys soo much, I bought your game twice, once direct and the other on STEAM for convenience (and it was ?1.49) http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Is it possible to transfer my none STEAM (original) profile to my new STEAM account?

Its not a big problem but would be nice if I could.

Many Thanks.

Don't worry about it, I bought the game twice too, my none steam account is far worse off than this one http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

It's not possible as all your profiles are tied to your license key. It's made this way to prevent others from stealing your account. We thought about a login / password system to log into your profile from any computer, but it seemed to be too complicated for casual players (many problems like forgotten passwords, too easy passwords being hacked, etc). The current system works fine for majority of players, and is very easy to use and understand.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply.

As a customer giving feedback, this is s "FAIL" in my opinion.

Trackmania uses the username/password login and it works great.

Still love you guys though http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

As a customer giving feedback, this is s "FAIL" in my opinion.

As described in the support forum sticky thread, the [SOLVED] marker means that the case has been processed and no further action is needed.

Some examples:

Install problems, firewall problems, etc: The [SOLVED] marker is added to the thread name when the user gets the game working. If the issue is a exact copy (duplicate) of another issue, a link is added to the end of the thread, and [DUPLICATE] marker is added to the thread name. The discussion continues to the old thread.

License key problems, refunds, etc: The [SOLVED] marker gets added when the support team and the user get the issue worked out. Usually issues like this are handled with private e-mails, so it's likely that there are no extra posts in the thread after the first reply.

Driver and hardware problems: If the issue is a known one and is not a game bug, the [SOLVED] marker gets added immediately. The reply contains a link to the solving instructions or to the hardware manufacturer's driver page. For new hardware/driver problems, the bug is kept open until a solution is found. [SOLVED] marker is added if the user finds a way to fix the issue or when the issue gets solved by a game patch.

Game bugs (compatibility issues, crashes, hangs, etc): The [SOLVED] marker gets added when the bug has been fixed (new version release).

Questions (about features, personnel, patches, etc): When the question has been answered, the [SOLVED] marker gets added right away. If the question is about the above categories (bugs, hardware issues, licence issues, etc) it's processed like described above.

Feature requests and suggestions: Feature requests and suggestions are not bugs, and should be discussed in the suggestions forum (http://www.redlynxtrials.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6). If a suggestion gets posted in the support forum a [NOBUG] tag is added. For feature requests that also describe a minor bug, annoyance or a licence issue, a [SOLVED] tag is added at the time the question is answered.

If you want to discuss about feature suggestions for Trials 2 and future Trials games, please use the suggestions forum: http://www.redlynxtrials.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6

At this point of the project (after v1.08 patch) we do not add any new major features to the game. Only critical bugs are being fixed. The next patch (v1.09) fix list can be seen here: http://www.redlynxtrials.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1005

Same thing here. I bought the game on Steam this weekend due to their huge sale and the convenience of Steam.

I love this game, and my old account has almost 70 hours of play time and lots of achievements. Couldn't somebody with database access just switch my old profile to my new license key?

Don't tell me this isn't possible - I'm a coder myself. It's absolutely possible, and shouldn't take a developer more than about 30 seconds to do. It would be nice if those of us that liked the game enough to buy it twice could be handled this way on a case-by-case basis.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've just re-bought Trials 2 on Steam for the same reasons as the original poster. I'd love to move my profile across to the Steam version. Is this still not possible or is there a way? It would kind of make the steam version totally redundant if not!

I'm willing to provide any information necessary to make this happen if it's doable.

Cheers,
