View Full Version : Keep it true to the name

This my first post - http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

I would like to see Trials2SE and 3, stay true to its name - stay within the confines of the motorcycle trials sport.

For those who want 'narly' tricks and stuff - then maybe there should be a Freestyle MX game or something? - that could be full of huge jumps, hang-offs etc
Same would apply for Hillclimbing.

Motorcycle trials is all about throttle control, balance, getting over obstacles cleanly at fairly slow speeds, as I am sure you are all aware - no preaching intended... http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Keep up the excellent work on the game, as a trials rider in the real world, I find this game loads of fun.

I would like to see more of the slower maps, where the puzzle of getting through "clean" is the objective.

A 3D game would also be very good - anyone here remember MotoRacer3?
That worked well on the easier tracks, but then seemed to fail on the harder courses... http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

Fantastic game, really glad you have made it, and keep the new levels coming.

yeah i remember motoracer 3, still got it here somewhere, but with the things now, redlynx could make a much better 3d version. but anyway glad your liking the game bro! http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Hi b3anh3ad,
Did you not just love the bouncing round of the rear of the bike in MotoRacer3? http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Getting around that impossible corner...

I am sure that a lot better job could be done now, especially with the 3D engines available today.

Would love to see someone try to do a new version or a 3D version of Trials2SE. http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

i agree with what you say, i do not think that you should be able to do tricks in the game that would ruin it. However i think a cource like a hill climb were you are going up a steap ish course with obsictles in it does fit the game and will enhance it.

Well, you should try the harder levels if you want more techinal and slower tracks. Sure it is not comparable to real trials, but harder tracks need very good and accurate bike control and it is a real challenge to finish without faults. The easy levels are usually quite easy and easy obstacles can usually be passed very fast.

Most reviews have said that the game is too difficult so most of the new extra tracks are easy, sorry about that http://forum.redlynx.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

3D trials2se? Hmm, the game is already fully 3D. Of course the bike rides a 2D plane. It is much easier to control 2D motion and I personally think that it will make a better game. In my opinion many of the side scrollers and platformers that are modernized and turned into 3D have become a lot worse. Quite often the camera and controls are quite horrible actually, although there are some exceptions. Still I personally miss a bit those older 2D games with simple and accurate controls.

Hi Jorma,
Have to agree that some games turned to 3D dont work.
And can appreciate that making cameras work correctly can be really difficult.

As it is, Trials2SE is very good and my favourite at the moment.

Look forward to more tracks, and like the newer physics ones - as they add an extra element of puzzle factor.

Superb work - thanks
