Would it be practical to have a map that would encompass an entire B-29 flight to Japan and back. I mean the Marianas at the extreme south end, South Japan on the north end and Iwo Jima in the center.

An ideal recreation of a bombing mission would be nice to have an option of landing on Iwo Jima in case of engine trouble or low fuel.

How long would such a flight take?

I think it was 8 hours...round trip. There's a reason why the B-29 had an oven and good seating.

I thougth they were allscaled down versions of reality? Assuming that is the case.. maybe they could do it?

B29 had an oven? Wow.

Heck you don't even have to look at B29 flight routes, the Rabaul to Guadacanal route's insanely long too. Let's hope we don't have to sit there in time compression for like 5 minutes.

You know, I'd actually enjoy flying these as escort.

The fighters didn't join up with them the instant the 29's took off, so the fighters would probably have, what, 4, maybe 5 hours in the air?

Would be fun online with playes in the fighters, so you could chat with your buddies on the way.
