Hi!

I heard that in 1.2b LA 7 still climb to 5000m in 3.5 minutes. From data of FB should 4.5 minutes.

Oleg M. why you dont want to fix these????

I know that La7 was good plane but didn't climb as well as in Fb now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It's best not to take beta flight models too seriously. They tend to change drastically from each subversion to the next.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

You know, we always get these posts. I predict right now that we'll see hundreds of the same posts we saw after each and every patch.

Some things definately needed fixing here and there but I can live with the La-7 climbing a bit too fast and I rarely fly them if ever. Take a K-4 for a spin and you'll soon find that you can keep climbing and the poor La below will start loosing power and choking like crazy.

"La-7 climbing a bit too fast" - yea 3.5 min instead 4.5 min. to 5000 is definetly only a bit better climb time !!!

Bf lose their adventage in climb rate - only adventage on La

I doubt if Oleg fix these apect in final 1.2 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It climbs much slower after a few mk108 hits to the engine. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I've noticed that - it seems vulnerable to just a few hits from large calibre cannons - must be a design flaw.

Watch these fellows, they are slippery.

Above ~2km, Fb109K outclimbs La~7.

Notice these fellows never give you any altitude information when they wine about climb? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

la-7 climb not only little better as russia data say,she climb much better at low altitude

we fight at low altitude, therefore is that not peanuts

russia data initialclimb

22,5m/sec

in fb

30m/sec

that are 33% better initialclimb in fb as the russia data say

too below 1000m climb k4 with 24,5m/sec better as la-7 22,5m/sec real,

but in fb has la-7 5m/sec better climb as k4 below 1000m

Please do not post unsubstantiated rumour about a product still in beta in ORR. Be patient and await final release.
