Thursdays have always been my aggressive/smart-arsed day. Thursdays are always the worst, and my thursday-posts reflect this.

Now my shift has changed and thursdays are my final work-day of the week.

So, from this point forward, please make sure to post your rants on wednesdays so I can vent on you properly. Thursdays will be stress-free for me so don't waste a perfectly good rant by being a day late.

Remember: Wednesday is the day I turn into the wolfman. Not thursday. Thanks!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

And you thought this thread would be worthless.

The P40's spin is modeled completely wrong.

The flight manual as well as air corps training films state explicitly: the P40 will come out of a spin with zero input from the pilot. Nuetral stick, oposite rudder, and full power will bring out of a spin almost instantly.

It doesn't work that way in-game.

As I understand things, the P40 had some kind of modification to the leading edge of the wing near the wing-root that designed-away the nasty snap-roll-stall of the P36/Hawk75.

It was actually pretty difficult to snap-stall and pretty easy to recover.

Its easy: First you have to spy the period that seperates the two sentances. Then you have to differentiate between "will come out of a spin with zero input from the pilot" and "will bring out of a spin almost instantly".

You see, with no input, it will come out of a spin all by itself, but with usual spin recovery, it will snap out "almost instantly".
