Oleg, I have recently posted a new movie called "Secret Weapon over Stalingrad" on the General Discussion forum. After a lot of positive feedback, a few people have said that I should ask you to view it, and offer my services for your next project "Battle of Britain". So, here I am. Could I please ask you to visit the thread,

or go directly to http://www.aqqm31.dsl.pipex.com

You will need the XVID codec to view it, thanks.

Saw it . . . Oleg must as well, since it is actually better than the Bink trailer that was the official FB promo movie. Good luck, MP.

Ubi/Maddox should definitely be talking to 'Puma about promo movies. The man has *talent*. SWOS is an awesome movie, the long hours of work are all right there on the screen.

Guys, it's only your input that will make Oleg have a view of the movie. Thanks for the backing, lets hope he reads them. Really, thanks for taking the time to bump this. Cheers.

The camera work and the special effects where superb.

However, the scenario was highly unlikely. Also, there should've been a shot with all the participating P-40's, flying in a formation or something like that. Now, it looks like the same P-40 has unlimited ammo and gets shot down several times.

BTW, the FB intro movie is a track file, not a video.

Well, of course the scenario is unlikely.
The Germans never had anything like a functioning Atom bomb, though they were working on trying to develop one and the American`s did not fly P40s over stalingrad- Russians did with Russian markings. It`s a pity we don`t have `accented Russian English` to give a more Soviet feel.

But the Germans using a large captured bomber is feasible.

Anyhoo, the point is that mysticPuma has shown a great skill in story telling without words and portraying an exciting and watchable dogfight which even non simmers would appreciate. (My daughter loved it- particularly the end bit- and she`s never normally interested).

Now, using his skills he can do a proper film possibly for Oleg with historical accuracy intact. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We can have "accented Russian English" if you download BBQ's voice pack for IL2 - it works fine in FB too.
Get it here:- http://www.downloadcounter.com/cgi-bin/download.pl?username=James_Jones&account=476

It's on the mudmovers site under Il2 essentials.

Serious Bumpage.

Puma, don't let anyone sway you . . . a fantastic story, well told, and easily understood. Please, Mr. Maddox, have a good look at this when your Holy Days are finished, and you have returned. We would like you to experience the same chills we did upon first viewing of this great movie.

Bump!!! Oleg and, especially, UBI need to take advantage of the community's movie-making talent, specifically Mysticpuma's, in the Marketing of FB Addon and/orGold Edition and/or Battle of Britain Product(s)... It will put money in their pockets! If they try to do it 'in-house' merely using the generic out-of-the-box TRK file/intro-movie tools of the Game/Sim, they will be making a huge mistake...imho. They could coordinate placing 2 or 3 ten-minute movies on one of the Demo Discs sent out with the various Gaming Magazines...do that a couple of months before the retail product is released! IMHO

The only concern 1C:Maddox and UBI would have is the inclusion of some of the copywrited music - if they published it officially you can bet some lawyer would be ringing them looking for royalties!

It's been a real search for myself to find music in the public domain to include in the movies I'm working on, although the odds of an individual getting pinged for this in a non-commercial manner are slim, and the most that would happen is the pulling of the movie from the Internet.

It'd be great to see some of the quality movies such as yours and Scragbat's first offering with the Hurri's and Stukas put on a PCGamer CD...

Fortunately guys, I alredy thought about the music, and created a different edit with no music track. I also changed some of the voice wavs, re-edited some intro and end title audio and added a couple of other audio 'bits'. THe video is the same though. For that version I rendered it in Divx 5.11 and it comes in at 145mb. I am sending both versions to PC Format Magazine and PC Gamer (UK mags) and have already sent the music and non-music version to PC Pilot (who I am hoping to hear from). Thanks for the backup guys, now just waiting for Oleg http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Forget about offering your services to Oleg, you should be movin' on over to Hollywood to take over DreamWorks! How the heck did you do create such wonderful films? Were some of those voice dubs your own as well? Simply fantastic!

And are you planning on producing any more of these - I'd love to see a track of a B-17 bomb run on Berlin with Mustangs and Thunderbolts acting as escorts, fighting off some ME 262's and Doras. Perhaps not all too realistic for a late-war scenario, but it would certainly make a great movie. No slamming into smokestacks would be allowed, but the aerial battles would make for a great show. Thanks for the great effort here and I for one am grateful for the chance to just sit back and watch!

Hope your right Leadspitter, it just makes it fee as though it was all worth the effort, if the developer says, "Thanks for that, by the way, here's something I'd like you to make a movie of.It's called Battle of Britain, it comes out in 2005 and I'd like to see if you can make a promo movie of it. You realise that we may not use it, but if it's good enough, then we will could employ your talents".

Oh well here's hoping. Just a little feedback Oleg, please!

Yea, as I said ages ago previously Mystic Puma`s film is amazing! Great work: But a word of caution.

If after asking many times and getting no response don`t push it. If the man won`t open the door then DON`T bash it down, either he`s out... or he simply doesn`t wish to answer. If you go over the top with demands that border on rude or insulting you`ll never get what you want.
Either way as long as you know he knows (and he must do by now) you`ve done half the work. Patience is the key...

Then, to your surprise, he may come knocking on your metaphorical door! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
