Hi all,

What should i start with in terms of difficulty settings?

Also what year is best to start in from 1941 - 1945?

Ive been messing about and i can take off(perfectly) and land(barely: Engine InOperable http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif hehe ) but stalls seems to be an issue for me. I keep getting into them trying to loop etc and then autopilot has to help me out...

Also, why is it when i request for assistance on a mission, my team come to me, but then stay there in that one area? I mean i call them to wait up for me because there flying too far ahead and now they just stay there? Whats up with that?

Cheers people!

1. Start hard, stay hard. Practice, practice practice. You only cheat yourself if you make it easy. Every part of the sim is more satisfying that way, every kill sweeter, every landing in a shot up plane better.
2. IMHO, start in 1941 and work your way up. Just an opinion.
3. See number 1. Practice, practice practice.
4. The AI is less than perfect. Not much can be done about it unfortunately.

I find questions like these very difficult to answer because you are you. You know what you are best at, you know what you prefer. Nobody is exactly the same.

Me personally, I`d say start from the early years, start from the higher difficulty settings, limited ammo, limited icons, etc, until you feel comfortable with stronger stuff.

But now, our advice has probably not suited you. See what i mean?

As for the assistance thing, you should ask for it WHEN you see trouble coming or it`s close.

Cheers guys i get ya both. Im starting on realistic except ill have external views and map and icons.

Are the missions the same in each year or are they different(meaning do you just have a different plane and when do you have weather conditions etc like snow??)

Agree with Beebop .. don't cheat yourself by making it too easy and don't give up too easy either. FB has a steep learning curve but you'll have those "alright!" moments and they keep you going.
