Hey guys,

Some of you might remember my little cockpit I built. Well, thanks to Santa there has been a slight improvement. I'm now Yoked! I can now fly Cessnas, Mustangs, Eagles and even race NASCAR from the comfort of my cockpit. Just thought I'd share and if things go right one of these things may also be yours.

Cool! It look's like it would be very comfortable. Also appear's to be a good setup to practice using deferential thrust for combat manuver's in the P-38 when we get it.

Hey Burnin_777 looks good. For those that haven't seen it, here is my F16 pit. Currently dissassembled until I get time to work on an Epic card for all the switches (a major job) and Falcon 4 Superpack 4 is released. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

S!~ Way to go! I also remember when you were building it. Do you still have the site with all the pictures? If so could you post a link? Also if you wouldnt mind, do you have any kind of blueprints so I could build my own? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Nevertheless, Wonderfull Job.

Cobra,

Your F-16 pit is wicked for sure. Very very authentic. I decided to try to make one that would allow me to fly, drive and strategize without much fuss. I think I accomplished my goal. Yours however, just kicks flight-sim ***! Now, if they would only update Falcon to current graphical standards.

Yep, I remember when you were just building that pit. The yoke fits in well there, a very complete setup. BTW... you say that if things go right it could be yours... are you thinking of selling plans?

I still fly in this. Only a few changes since I posted it last....

This should explain the EPIC card and it's subcards that can program buttons and lights....
http://www.simpits.org/programming/Martin_EPIC/EPIC.html ---- and someone thinks programing their Cougar is tough, lol. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif But really, if he wanted to add 3 little lights for the gear down signal, that wouldn't be too hard to do.
Check this site out for all you pit lovers -
http://www.aircraftsimulators.com/home.html - Click on products - some wicked looking stuff there.

Only problem with selling these things are the weight/shipping. I'll send a pic of my how my FLCS and TQS are installed if you want a semi-easy way to get them flush with your side panels there also 777, just say the word. Selling plans is the best bet and I wish you the best of luck 777.

You know... just thinking out loud, but if there were no women, there would be no men.. just a bunch of boys and their toys..

Also, if there were no women, there wouldn't be any pillows or linens..and everything would be dirty and smelly.

Breakfast: Captain Crunch and bacon
Lunch: Burger and Fries
Dinner: Steak on the grill

Everyday..

And most definitely we'd ALLLL have cockpits!

S! Adlabs,

What did you use to mount those plates to your chair? Flying with my CH stuff on the desk is a real pain, and I get wrist pain from the throttle being mounted so high up on the desk and so tight in to my body (have to sit forward for TrackIR)

Thats exactly the kind of thing I wanted to build, but using the office char I've got. Any tips would be much appreciated http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hey Jazz-Man,

This pic shows it best...

http://www.geocities.com/adlabs6/B/bin/detail.JPG

I drilled throught the chair, on the arms and seat. Then it's just getting some wingnuts that'll thread on to the bold I fitted tightly into a countersunk hole on the MDF plate to hold it tight. The plates are easily removed like this too. The shoe laces were there to tie down my X45, but with the rubber buttons I stuck on the bases of the X45, it doesn't move, even in combat, so the laces weren't needed.

I have to get into and out of my chair by steping over the side arm, and then drop down into the seat. On a more permanent setup, you could run wires so they all exit on one side, so you could just sit down easily from the front as usual.

Hey adlabs,

That same lawn chair was one I was considering for my cockpit setupa ways back. We have the same chairs in beige on our deck and they are really comforable. I had the idea of using hot glue, but your method is far more ingenious..

To anyone who wants to know, those chairs can be picked up for 15-20 bucks at any Lowes or Home Depot and they are really comfortable and well built and easy to customize for this sport as Adlabs has shown..

Good show!
