1C/Maddox is helping this company produce what looks like a very nice PT boat sim. They posted some new screenshots I think people here would be interested in.

Looks excellent! I wonder if they use parts of the IL2 engine in it? Would be nice if you could command even bigger ships too!

From what I see and read, they use a differant engine. Same engine from "Pirates of the Carabean". I dont think Il2 has the water dynamics needed for sometihng like this.

Look at the detail on the ammo belt in the MG close up. Incredible

I always have just enough fuel to arrive at the scene of my crash.

This is one game I'm watching. Apparently, the aircraft are based on the models we have in FB. If they could somehow make the planes flyable alongside the human-piloted boats, you'd have a great online experience. I know air/land/sea sims have been tried before, but no one's ever got it right yet.

Did anyone notice that it's going to have a A-20 Attack Aircraft? Maybe we'll be getting one as a addon soon for IL2. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
This is going to be a Killer Game... I use the older Silent Hunter 2 & Destroyer Command now and they are pretty decent games and still have a good Bang for the Buck... as you can pick them up at the game stores fairly cheep now ($10-$15).

Sounds like it'd be lots of entertainment. You've inspired me to re-install Silent Hunter http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Whooo-hooo!

But didn't knights wear armor? US PT boats for sure did not at least the hulls were marine plywood!

To me, the knights were at least cruisers....
PT boats, maybe mounted musketeers?

The older games Silent Hunter2 and Destroyer Command has attacking aircraft... but they are not flyable. It will be interesting too see what the new game Knights of the Sea will offer.
Any more information Gibbage1? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
And Tully how's the old games playing out. Still pretty good ... aren't they! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Woofie, Tully, if you play SHII, do you know about this: click for Wolfpack League downloads. (http://www.sh2fleet.com/)

The Project Messerwetzer was actually developed by game enthusiasts after, uh, cough, Ubi, released the game in a half-baked condition (unplayable multiplayer, etc.) and with private donations only these guys actually fixed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gifUbi's abandoned game. There is also a high res patch available on this page.

I remember when Il2 came out and we could not believe the same company was putting out both titles. Il2 was beautiful, awesome to behold and play and the little sub sim we had valiantly awaited for a couple of years would not play 4 person multiplayer games without crashing(it was advertised to support 32) in 16 bit. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif I thought at the time they obviously needed to get some help from the Il2 creators. Glad they realized it.

If it has Oleg's name on it, I will buy it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
