So I got a code with a videocard for Blacklist. I downloaded the game but cancelled the install because I was going to sleep. The next day when I started Uplay it said Play and not Install and when I click play it says "Unable to start game check if the game is correctly installed". So I deleted every file in the installer and reinstalled Uplay but it always only shows the Play button. How can I completely uninstall the game and reinstall it?

Thanks for the help.

I have had this issue with Splinter Cell Blacklist.
The game was un-installed - but UPlay registered it was.

The problem was registry keys.
Check to ensure the game does not have any:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ubisoft\Splinter Cell Blacklist
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ubisoft\Sp linter Cell Blacklist
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Ubisoft\To m Clancy's Splinter Cell® Blacklist™

After deleting them - I was able to re-download and install the game.

I strongly advise doing a registry backup before any altering.

Hope that helps someone with the same problem we had.

Cheers,

Ash

Hi, if you know how to work with Windows Regedit, try this, but in reverse order (ie. remove Blacklist branches from under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\UbiSoft].

Or just run the game from disk directly, for example open folder C:\Ubisoft\Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\system\ and double-click on gu.exe (that's updater, it will run Uplay and update the game.
