I'm just getting familiarzed with IL2FB-AEP, installed the Sim an upgraded to V2.04 a couple of days ago. I'm finding navigation somewhat more difficult than expected and would appreciate the assistance of the speedbar which can give me some help during the learning process. I found a "Speed Bar Toggle" key in the Controls section set-up screen and set a user-defined key of Ctrl-S for the toggle, and closed-out of the Control screen with an "Apply" button. However when flying in a QMB mission, I find myself in the cockpit, but no seedbar indicator appears on the lower-left of my monitor screen (like in the training mission visuals), I hit [Ctrl-S] and no speedbar appears. What step did I miss to get the speedbar to appear? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I think u have to enable it in difficulty settings before a single mission or quickmission.
U have to determine your settings before a camaign.

Online its the server that determines the settings.
-------------------------------------------------

Try this:
1 open quickmissionbuilder
2 somewhere downish u see difficulty settings,
and inside should be a switch for it.

If I should be wrong....someone will correct me soon enough... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

once you start a campaign, is it possible to modify the settings?

In order for the speedbar keyboard control to work, the "No Speedbar" difficulty setting must be turned off.

Difficulty settings cannot be changed during an offline campaign. The setting you choose for the first mission will apply throughtout the campaign.

Thanks F19 (and others), I didn't realize there's a second page to the difficulty settings. Found it and the speedbar appears. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've got another question for you or others, is there an ideal landing speed listed anywhere in the Sim for the various planes? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif Looking at the "View Objects" screen in the Sim, I see a lot of detail about each flyable plane, but I don't see anything about landing speed. It woold be nice to know, since each plane has different flight dynamics. Couldn't find anything in the manual.

I`d say 200kph is good for all planes to land at.
