View Full Version : nVidia Surround support needed for 3x 16:10 setup.

So before, I had played all the AC games on nVidia Surround without the "cinematic" black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Even though all three of my monitors are 16:10, and I know the game is locked to 16:9, when I went into surround resolutions -- like 5760x1200 -- the black bars went completely away. This game, however, seems to be the only AC game that has black bars while on Surround 16:10 x3.

I may just make a ticket to for this, but I really hope someone from Ubisoft sees this. You may also refer to the thread on this forum: http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=26834

Uh, running 3x 1920x1200 in nV Surround, bezel corrected resolution of 6030x1200 and you can imagine my surprise ( very unpleasant) when the first thing I see are letterboxing black bars at the top and bottom of the screens.
What's the deal here? Last I checked it was 2013 and nVidia was touting AC4 +PC=awesome. The 16:9 aspect ratio smells of consolitis, which is unforgivable for a PC flagship title
If I had known in advance I probably would not have pre-ordered.
Maybe the devs are eating too many St-Viateur bagels instead of the more delicious Fairmount Bagels and it is clouding their judgement...

Exactly. What's even more baffling is that the problem wasn't there in any other AC game. Talk about two steps backwards...

BTW, didn't NVidia invest like 5 million to Ubi for PC AA titles like AC4? Seems like they didn't het their money's worth ...

Well, if anything, Ubisoft is very good at showing where its priorities lie -- which is with the console crowd.

And it seems, that I now know where my wallet lies -- not with Ubisoft.
