I played all the assassins creeds games on xbox 360, so I am wondering if the frame rate for the ps3 is better than the 360 for black flag. I read about Havannah having bad effects on the ps3 but is it the same on the 360?

i have not experienced lag on BF yet. and hope not. The game runs amazing at 1080p. But idk the disc output, so... tbh, to my knowledge, usually ps3 is always 1080p while xbox has had games re-sized from 720p if im not mistaken.

You are, PS3 is not always 1080p but 720p, just like the Xbox 360, unless you have the game on PS4, but I doubt it.

I've heard bad things about the PS3 version of the game as far as current-gen goes. Really severe frame rate dips during certain kinds of combat and things like that.

Waiting for Xbox one myself. A little dissapointed that the next-gen versions of the game only have 60fps in multiplayer, but I guess they do have to render a lot of things and they're still not totally used to the new tech. They do have to make it playable on all consoles are all... But at least I know it'll run perfectly smoothly and look perfect.

Assassin's Creed IV next generation version is one hell of a demanding game that even a Geforce GTX 780 Ti has trouble running maxed out (at 1600p, that is).

It's either really good looking, or really badly coded.

While it'll be better optimized on the consoles, it's still not really fair to expect them to run the game at 60 FPS.

The only time I had "lag" on the 360 was when the game loaded the AC4 logo at the beginning of the game for some reason. The rest was COMPLETELY smooth. No noticeable lag at all. Possibly the smoothest AC game with amazing graphics and nice draw distances. I really don't know how they did it.

I'd suggest you wait for the PS4/Xbone release to get the best possible experience. Not that the current gen games are that bad, but next gen is bound to be better either way. :P

I haven't lagged or anything at all yet and I'm on Xbox.

If I remember that right the dinosaur-consoles render at something a little below 720p and then upscale to 1080p.

I'm on xbox and have had pretty bad frame rate drops. Most noticeably while fighting people on a boarded ship. The game runs pretty smooth for the most part.
