I am wondering does anyone know what ammo was used on the BF110 R1? Will we be getting it with the tungsten ammo like on the stuka? I am really looking forward to this, and hope we will have a good tankbuster on our hands here.

Butch, you once posted some nice loadout lists for 109s, 190s, 87s and 111s. Could you pls post them again and add one for the 110G-2? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Seems they got lost with the forum migration although I bumped those threads close before the new board software came...

i think the loadout"section" of the 110G2 is well made http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

One of the most complete indeed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
The BK 3.7 is a good tin can opener provided you get used to its recoil which is fairly heavy.

actually , if you shoot at the ground with the Ju87G 37mm gun you get no explosion , just an impact.

if you are firing witht the 110G2 37mm gun you get an explosion.

so , its seems they have a different ammo load.
at the moment http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Frankyboy, were that large loudout list posted a couple days ago for the Bf 110G-2 accurate ? Are those in the sim already ?? (flyable no-cockpit ?) Additionally, if those are actually in the sim now, are those properly named using standard WWII LW nomenclatures ?? ie. R1/U2....so on so forth.

Cheers,

nah, it's one of the best, but still incomplete. Real 110s could pack up some 1,7 tonnes of explosives. That means:

Centerline: 2 500kg bombs
Wing Racks: 2 250kg bombs
Small Wing Racks: 4 50kg bombs

Those wing racks are racks that can carry either 250kg bombs or 300l droptank. BTW, FWs have them, too. But only tanks...

And try to select some decent loadout with MK 108s, or mixes like 108 + WGr + 20mm pos + tanks - I've posted a photo of this one already... But I can't find the thread since the UBB.x Forum migration :|. I saved several links of interesting threads concerning loadouts. But I can't find them anymore now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

But look, found it via Google, although I had a bigger one:

http://freepages.military.rootsweb.com/~josephkennedy/images/Combat/me%20110g2_r6.jpg

One suggestion here: Make TWO 110G-2s. One with MG 17s (early) and one with 108s (late), and give them all loadouts. The early one should not have WGrs BTW. It's rather duplicating the plane and changing those loadouts. But then there are no MK 108s in '42 anymore http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It should have been better in the first place to make all Umbau-rusatze (/U?) and rustzustand (/R?) modified aircraft as separate versions (as in real life). And giving the option of selecting the available rustsatzen (R?, M?) for each subversion (again as IRL).

bk 3.7 is the stukas antitank guns isnt it?
NO recoil on those :|

yep, to make two different planes out of it would be a good choice.

for 1943 (there were no Bf110G2 in service 42 !)
the Bf110G2 with 4 Mg17

for 1944 (ore late 43)
the Bf110G2 with MK108

some more points:

the 110G2/R1 should NOT have the 2 MG151/20 (that it has in FB1.22)!
there was realy not enough room for both , BK3,7mm AND twin MG151/20.

two options are realy missing:

-/R3/M1/M5
MK108 / MG151/20 gondola / 4 Rocketlaunchers

-/R4
MK108 / BK 3,7mm ( also no MG151/20)

Here is what i sent to Oleg.

Bf 110G-2
Nose mounted weapons (standard version):
- 4x MG-17 (1000rpg)
- 2x MG-151/20 (300 and 350rpg)

Rear mounted weapon :
- 1x MG-81Z (800rpg)

Options:
The rustsatze on the 110F and G are quite complex, the Mx rustsatze could be mounted on any aircraft and combined (M2 and M3 for instance could be used on the same aircraft).
The /Rx are for Rustzustand, in a perfect world aircraft so transformed should be considered as another version like C-4/B is.

- M1 : 2x MG151/20 (200rpg) under fuselage
- M2 : 2x ETC 500/IX under fuselage :
o 2x 250kg bombs or
o 2x 500kg bombs or
o 1x SD1000 or
o 1x SC1000 and 1x SC250

- M3 : 4x ETC 50 (2 under each wing)
o 4x 50kg or
o 4x 70kg bombs

- M4 : 4x 24SD2/XII (2 under each wing)
- M5 : 4x BR21 rockets (2 under each wing)
- /R1 : 1x BK3.7 under fuselage with 66 rounds in 6x 11 rounds magazines and MG-151/20 removed
- /R3 : MG151/20s replaced by MK108 with 135rpg
- /R4 : 1x BK3.7 (66 rounds) under fuselage and MK108 (135rpg) replacing the MG151/20

I know butch2k is in here a lot, and kinda was asking Oleg too, my main concern is if we get the tungsten AP ammo in the BK3.7

Thanks Butch2K.

Hope the loads for the C-4 & C-4/B have also been forwarded, as this one should be coming soon....

How about an E-1/N/U4 ??

butch, I know you know best http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. But here are some errors. The 108s replace those 4 MG 17s, and not the 2 151/20s

Can anyone confirm the gun can kill tanks right now in AI form? Ive been trying to get the AI to kill a tank with the BK3.7, but they cant hit crap. Even on ace I havent gotten them to hit with it.

As for the origianal question, from what I have seen the 110 we are talking about is a Pulk-Zerstorer, so its weapons are for bringing down bombers, not ground attack. I cannot imagine tungsten ammo being used against bombers.

I have never heard of 110s being used as tank destroyers, only bomber destroyers and jabo type of ground atack (i.e. strap on some bombs, not any sort of dedicated tank destroyer like some Ju87s or Hs129s).

hope Oleg´s 110 can movw it´s Propellerblades in "Segelstellung" if one Engine failed.
the 110 had also hydraulic Flaps
the armored Frontglass is shown in the cockpitview by big strutshttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif as in any 109 or 190 but I miss it´s effectiveness against shells; seems to me that all shells penetrate the armored glass so easy as the rest of the canopy; the holes are the same in cockpit view..
