And why not from the japanese said? In the japanese campaign, if we attack Pearl Harbour from the Soryu or the Hiryu, it will be a perfect continuation!

I think that this is not a slight, Zuiho. I think that this is simply from the standpoint that it is a more famous event from one perspective than the other. Of course, I want Wake to be in PF, and naturally, if it is there, it is simply going to be seen from both sides- why not, the missions aren't scripted in campaigns

I dunno about you Chuck, but seems to me there is a lot more chafing lately..

The kill claim comparisons - the aircraft comparisons - the Nationality issues..

I think a step back by everyone maybe needed, a little relaxation on the grip, perhaps?

Its not all out flaming yet - but its like a rising storm in here lately.

I dont know what the cure is, but "the Clash" is evident.

Yep, you fellas should stop arguing.

In actual fact the New Zealanders kicked everybody's a-r-s-e! (stupid cuss-editing software, you can kiss my butt, too!)

There was an argument? Heywooood and I may have seemed to be at odds over the word "chafing" but he has related to me that he really meant "chafing" in the culinary manner, as in "chafing dish". I had assumed that he had meant it in the manner of "abrasion", and that was in error. I have no dislike of chafing dishes in particular, so I retract my earlier statement, and we are all friends again.

I think, that sometimes, it is a good thing to fly a historical mission where your respective side didn't have a chance, and that includes the allied side. Let's face it, the Allies DID win WWII, but there were many battles in which the Axis powers kicked our butts.

Meanwhile, back at Wake...

It looks like we can expect the map. Luthier includes it in his sig. So the mission-builders should be able to stage it (assuming IJN carriers).

There were a few Buffaloes (F2s) on the island, I recall, a couple of early B-17Ds were there.

It was lopsided battle, even though the Marines and contractors put up a squabble. As one sided as it was, it might be interesting to reenact the air combat part...see if its possible to change the outcome a little with different tactics.

Thanks, JG77. DLd these and looking forward to trying my hand when I get home. I'd read you were developing these. I'll let you know how we do.
