I want to get a simplified stick (no FFB) that doesn't keep breaking (like my Logitechs). I've read good reviews on this stick. Anyone who has one, could you please give it a quick thumbs up or down?

I had one, and now I donâ't recommend EVO to anyone.
The stick itself is solid, but there is a problem with the driver not holding the calibration after the reboot – you would need to do â"mini-calibrationâ"ť routine (swing the stick around before going into the game) every time you will reboot your PC. Also, the centering spring is a little bit too stiff.
I am back on my trusty Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold.

well, i like my Evo. the thing was a little tight at 1st, but just needs some breaking in, and you don't have to recalibrate... well, sort of. Before you take off you just need to swing the stick around, and twist the rudders a couple times to "remind" it of it's calibration. Can be done in-game though.

I have the evo and I like it alot. Very customizable and I don't find it to be stiff at all but then I don't like mushy sticks. The 10 seconds it takes me to calibrate the stick in-game isn't enough to make me say it sucks (do it one time and it is good until you shut your computer down). I had MSFF2 before this and I liked it alot. I tried a few after the trigger died and I liked the evo the best. My only complaint is where they put the throttle (at the bottom of the base). It works fine but it is in a bad position. Also, I got mine at Circuit City and for an extra $10 I got a 2-year warranty even if I break it so no worries about wear (or my temper).

I like it. Very responsive and precise. The rudder pot is still working top notch (not like in Logitech Wingman, which is a great stick otherwise if you are willing to replace them every month or so). And the calibration process only takes me 5 sec or sohttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Salute !!!

I have both the EVO and Cyborg 3D Gold and like them both.

The non returning to center glitch of the EVO is easily remedied by cycling your control surfaces before take-off... just like you really would in real life !!!

I have EVO and it's great very good with the new updated driver.
When the stick is not calibrated you just need to do in game a good cercle with the stick and voila it's done automatic.

I have a great feeling with it.
For me it's one of the best stick period.

For the price choice #1

very good with the new updated driver

I've looked on saitek's site, where are you getting a new driver for it? i'm using windows 2000.

... i also got the 2 year extended warrantee, which is great!! anything goes wrong, and go get a brand new stick, no questions asked!!

I tried the updated driver and my rudder was stuck left or something like that. I never had drifting problem so I went back to retail driver. Is there a fix for the new driver (which is beta btw)?
