Greetings all.

As you already know, there is a patch in works. Some major changes are coming and in my opinion they will please many. There is no date set in stone, but it is coming. All things that are being a subject of ...how do i put it nicely... disagreement - are not relevant anymore. I am not free to comment on what was changed, but as IL-2 junkie since day one i can assure you, some really cool stuff are coming. Untill then, a little patience....after all, do you want band-aid or solid patch? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

Thank you for listenting http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I guess I'm the only one who liked AEP out of the box?

I liked AEP out of the box also...nothing is ever perfect, some bugs shipped with it but most of those will probably be taken care of in the patch.

Everybody will be pleased...

Wait, let me guess. We will all be invulnerable and all ammo will punch like MK108. Each and every bullet will hit. We will all have at least 5 kills in every mission without ever beeing shot down. Yeah that must be it. Great, I'm looking forward to it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

So Ivan, are you free then to comment about the possible release date? I feel there is a tad too much secrecy about a "patch", but that is just my humble opinion.

If the content is supposed to stay a secret, fine, but at least give us an approx. release date so we (refresh monkeys) don't need to hit the refresh button every time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh and please, stay away from the 2 weeks joke http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Can someone say whether or not the developers are addressing the flickering airfields and the corrupt train station tile?

Thanks Ivan.

btw...I liked Aces out of the box too. I would have liked it more if it would have been packaged with the dedicated server though.

I'll fly whatever I have and be quite happy thank you, but it's comforting knowing there are people working on it only to make it even better.

I think it`s rather individual matter, but it would be nice if you submit some screenshots along with your dxdiag and in-game settings to il2beta@1c.ru

Thanks

Thanks for the update Ivan. I liked the AEP out of the box too. Then again... I liked FB out of the box.. even though it had problems. I have flown some pretty crappy sims in my day so .. I appreciate FB and Oleg & 1Cs commitment to it. Lookinfg forward to that patch..

Irrespective of gunfire power and related damage capability, hopefully some of these following damage details will be addressed:

- coolant leaks on applicable aircraft (ie P-51)
- the engine on fire, fire out, engine on fire again and out again yet I still have full power scenario
- split flap possibilities
- the aircraft on fire after I land and shut everything down scenario (namely P-47)
- flying near normal capability while missing 1/2 a wing or rear stabilator

There are other situations also. Anyway, I appreciate all being down to continually make this game first rate. Keep up the good work!

"- the aircraft on fire after I land and shut everything down scenario (namely P-47)"

I'm probably misunderstanding what you meant shVAK. If so, please excuse me, but I don't think you can put all fires out by simply throwing a switch. Sometimes you need more than 1 fire extinguisher at work.

Thanks for the info, Crazy Ivan. Ok, so the bullet dispersions and too tough aircraft models are fixed. Ok, worked that out. And we know about the extra aircraft...

I wonder what the other fixes are? AI improved even further? More Hud anims? Free animated girl?

The real question is when? I guess 3 weeks.

Any chance this patch will address the P-63 bomb-dropping-order bug? When it's carrying three bombs, the first tap of the "drop bomb" key drops the left wing and fuselage bombs, leaving just the right wing bomb for the second drop. I assume that the two wing bombs were supposed to drop, leaving the fuselage bomb for a second drop.

I posted this in the bug forum but didn't get an official reply, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, I can't imagine this would be hard to fix. Any chance it will be remedied?

Does that mean its close to being completed and then will need to be tested? or its close to being released?
