Greetings Champions!

GamesCom 2013 will be taking place August 22nd -25th in Cologne, Germany. The Duel of Champions team will be in attendance to host a live qualifier for our ongoing Road to Paris series!

Will you be attending GamesCom to compete in our tournament? If so, you can reserve a spot in the pre-qualifier event starting on Friday, August 23rd at 10:30 am by signing up here: http://battlefy.com/mightmagicduelofchampions/612/road-to-paris-live-qualif/#!/info

The initial matches will take place on Friday. The 8 top players will then be invited back on Saturday for the quarter and semi finals before we have the finals at 3pm UK time on the Main Stage!

Prizes for this live event include:

1st Place

• Herald of the Void Box, 3000 seals
• Ticket to the World Championship finals later this year in Paris, France

2nd Place

• Sanctuary Deck, Herald of the Void Box, 1500 seals
• Qualified for the Wild Card tournament for a spot to the World Championship.

3rd & 4th place

• Sanctuary Deck, Serious Box, VR Box, 1000 seals

5th - 8th place

• Sanctuary Deck, Serious Box, 500 seals

Seriously? So you excluded all working players on purpose? Not to mention people having a longer way to cologne (like more than 2-3 hours traveltime)... I think your hurting your own tournament a lot. BTW: The doors open at 10am on friday, so depending on the amount of people waiting it might be even impossible to be there at 10:30. So maybe it would be nice to move the schedule abit back, like starting at 1pm. Just my thoughts on that....

before anyone asks: I can make the tournament as it is, so I'm not excluded. But I would like to see a final on the main stage with the best possible players and not the best out of those 20 that could make it to the prelim matches on friday.

I completely understand your opinion on this. However, as we do not know how many players will take part, and as we cannot change the time that was given to us on the mainstage, we don't have any other choice than hosting it on Friday in order to be sure we have the finalists in time for the big show on Saturday.
It is written 10.30, but that's a suggested time for people to turn up if they want to be sure not to miss the start. At 11am we will close off registrations and start duels.

Hi, can we know if you can still register to the tournament ?

I think you can still take part in this event couse you even do not need to sign up there to join the tournament! After this you just reserve a spot for you but unless you did that you can still sign up directly @ Gamescom. I know some ppl that didn't sign up before and they will still take part in this event.

Hi guys,

Yes, simply turn up tomorrow morning to make sure you have a sport in the tournament!
And we're not going to have a stream but will be doing lots of video footage for some fun videos afterwards as well as replays.
