Dear Champions,

As you know, we constantly try to give you as much support as possible when you want to organize tournaments and this means lots of talking and messages being exchanged before anything really happens…
…and we want to help you even more by making this whole process even easier!

If you want to get help for rewards from us (Gold, lots of precious gold!), all you have to do from now on is follow the steps below when you create your tournament:
1. A dedicated forum thread must be posted on one (or more) of the official Ubisoft forums
2. The rules and time-frame of the tournament must be clearly written down
3. The tournament must not be limited in access to anyone, unless if in-game limitations (for example minimum ELO, level, use of specific cards etc.)
4. The tournament must have a minimum of 16 participants to be made official
5. All victory screenshots must be provided on the official forum thread

There is no limit to the inventive and fun things you can decide to do here and no limits on the number of participants. We will be donating 10 000 gold per participant into the tournament total victory cash that will be passed out to the 8 winners!

1st: 33% of the victory cash
2nd: 25%
3rd: 20%
4th: 10%
5th to 8th: 3% each

Once the tournament is over, all you have to do is send the Community Manager a personal message on the forum with the list of winners, number of participants and link to the forum thread for us to send the rewards out! …it’s that easy.
You no longer need to get our approval beforehand for anything ;)

So check out the latest Player Tournaments on the forums here (http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/496-Player-Tournaments!) and get going with your own!

Enjoy,
Aza and the DoC Team

Is there an easy way to run a tournament? In-game, all I can see is the option to create a practice Swiss tourney of 8 players. There is no option to ban cards, no option to make a tourney of more than 8 players, no way to lock a player into a deck for the duration of the tournament, etc. Does it all have to be done manually by the organizer outside of the game in a spreadsheet and then the organizer tells each player to challenge a specific person? And what is in it for the organizer? That sounds like you are creating a lot of work for the organizer by having none of the necessary features in-game...

Any answer to my question? Anyone?

@Coinmagic45: WEll obviously there is a lot of work that goes into running a tournament and there is nothing in it for the person creating and running it.

So why would someone do it then?
Simple: because they want to contribute in some way to the game, maybe help friends and other player have a bit more fun and help out the community on a whole.

Why make it "so hard" to get your event sponsored?
As far as I see it, this process is actually simplifying things down. You no longer need to exchange countless emails with a team member to get your idea approved and beg for rewards on top of it all!
Now it's very simple... there are obviously a few rules to follow as we can't just give out gold to anyone, but on the whole it should prove to be quite easy.

Anyhow... This sponsorship program is not for everybody ;)

If you show us you can set up a good tournament with some outside the box thinking and lots of players, then do come to see us and we'll be happy to help you get some bigger/better rewards!

OMG, Imagine a tourney with 100, 1000, or even 10000 participants!!! LOL, that would be madness and the REWARDS!!! 330,000 gold for 1st place in a 100 man tournament.

Having said that, will there be a cap on the number of players allowed to be involved in said tournaments?

Curious if this thread is still valid?

I'd like to create a low elo tourney for newer players and sanctioned rewards would be a big help in me trying to get new players into the game.

@Arrigoth - it is valid and they are even more keen now to give seals rewards also, its just that the veterans that used to organise such tourneys are now retaired from the game;) U should just create a forum topic with rules and such and then write a PM to JasonParadise or Kimmundi (Aza is no longer on Ubisoft paylist ;) )

Hey, I'm still on it, can't read my sig?! :P
It's just soo big that it takes moonths to prep.. ^^

Either way tourney for lower elos /newer players/ could be nice, it'll be a nightmare to run though, just as heads up.
Easiest way probably is, once you have the details drafted out, go to King chat (gotta use irc client -> mmdoc.net though) and look for Kimmundi or Jason as jkkk said.
Good luck!
