Oleg,

Is the distubution of shrapnel particals equal in all directions or consentrated in a cone forward of the point of the flak burst with respect to the flight path of the shell?

This is quite important as it affects the lethality of ground fire, espetially large caliber guns.

From watching arcade mode 88/85mm appears to fly out in a sphere, but how the damage is weighted directionally [perhaps more important if present], I don't know.

the actual flash & smoke from the burst should stay roughly where the shell bursts but the center of mass of the shell fragments will continue onward.

this makes it tricky for flak gunners, espetially 85/88 mm as they almost have to get the shell to burst with the target in front of the shell to pepper the target with most fragments or get a direct hit.
