Hey ya fabianfred,

I just had a look in my files and there's not an all.ini file in FB...only in IL2. I don't think you need it for FB!?

I just did a search on IL2FB and the only all.ini files are located in the training and user files and do'nt have any campaigns mentioned!!

Go figure.....I reckon you do'nt need it but I'm far from an expert!

Good Luck

As there are no scripted campaigns shipped with FB, there are no all.ini files. There should be one in each nationality folder that has campaigns. If you need to create it, it will be a text file that looks something like:

[list]
IL-2
LaGG-3
Bi-1

when you open it. Each line under [list] is the name of a campaign folder.

You'll also need to create a file called campaign.ini in the actual campaign folder. The contents of that file will also be in text format and look like:

[Main]
Class il2.game.campaign.CampaignRed
awardsClass il2.game.campaign.AwardsRUfighter
EpilogueTrack Intros/BI-1_Final.trk

[list]
* Intros/BI-1_00.trk
BI-1_00.mis
* Intros/BI-1_01.trk
BI-1_01.mis
BI-1_02.mis
BI-1_03.mis
* Intros/BI-1_02.trk
BI-1_04.mis
BI-1_05.mis
* Intros/BI-1_03.trk
BI-1_06.mis
BI-1_07.mis
BI-1_08.mis
BI-1_09.mis
BI-1_10.mis

This file is covered in sufficient detail in the manual.

The final file you may have to create is called info.properties and is also found in the campaign folder. Its contents look like:

Name BI-1 Campaign
Description Dedicated to Grigoriy Y. Bakhchivanji and all test pilots who lost their lives testing new aircraft. \nFirst missions of this campaign are based on the actual flights performed by Grigoriy Bakhchivanji during the BI test programme. The subsequent combat missions are "what-if" scenarios based on actual reports from historical combat mission.

This file contains the information you see in the campaign selection screen.

The examples are taken from the original IL2 Sturmovik RU and Bi-1 folders.

Thanks to you both................

Yes, it was the campaign.ini file which was missing......... it seems that the all .ini isn't needed in FB too

They don't actually mention the campaign.ini file in the manual .......probably expect you to copy other peoples work to get the idea
