Sorry if mentioned before, but wouldnt it be great if there would be some sort of landing gear damage implemented.Maybe one track wont open or both, half dunno.Perhaps some radiator or flaps damage in addition to LG.
Regards

You already can do damage to the landing gear.

If you shoot it enough, it will fall right off. Sometimes when you shoot the AI's hydraulic lines, the landing gear falls out of its little tuck-away and deploys. As for destroying the radiators, you can. Shoot the radiators on a 109E and you'll see what I mean.

I`ve had my gears damaged so they won`t deploy. I even had my radiaters shot so i couldn`t control them. You need to fly the sim more!

seafire is right
all of this is in the game
i fly axis allot and in the FWs when being shot at and afterwards trying to land result in a lot of no gear deployment and making a nice belly landing but this doesnt happens as much in the 109 or other aircraft

and you can get your prop pitch shot out aswell as throttle and believe me its not fun when you fly a 109 with manual pitch and going max power http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

nb, sometimes when your landing gear is damaged, you can still deploy it with the manual gear crank, depending on the nature of the damage (physical gear damage, no deploy, hydraulic damage, crank still works) damn i love this game, although i doubt if all aircraft had a manual crank backup.

You loose hydraulics quite often. You try to lower them and you get a "gear damaged" message. Maybe one will lower, but the other will remain locked. You can usually pull a manual lower, but it takes so long that you often have to break off your approach so you can get cranking. Its real scary when it happens. You've got one hand on the stick, trying to stay in approach, the pinky of your left hand on the control button, with your index finger mashing the G button repeatedly (Thats how I have it set up, anyway). Your eye on your landing gear indicator praying for that green light . . .

In BoB it will be even more detailed.

Oleg hinted something about tires being deflated by damage.
