How was the Animus made? The Animus technology is clearly advanced technology beyond what is available in the modern day Assassin's Creed universe. In Assassin's Creed (2007), Vidic says that the technology was a gift from Those Who Came Before. But, we have seen no TWCB records relating to the Animus, and I am curious as to where Abstergo got this information from.

I hope that it'll eventually be addressed in depth in one of the future games.

Abstergo probably found some Memory Seals and reverse-engineered them.

Probably something they were going to explain in future games and dropped eventualy, there is so much modern day stuff that they ignored over the years. I don't think they are going to dig deeper into the history of the animus.

I dunno, I think that Ubisoft will eventually address it, even if it's in a future Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia.

It is implied that the memory shards are a kind of "proto-animus".

It would be kinda lasy and lame to address it in a book imo.

maybe, as we will be playing as "ourselves" in AC-IV, we'll get the explanations in a new Abstergo employee orientation?

Do we need to know though?

Sometimes the best questions are the ones that remain unanswered.
